i found this video and she somewhat pushed me to change my OS to linux. i've used linux as an OS before but i have never really done much outside of ubuntu

also, how can i make my desktop theme look more modern and not like nerdy. something i guess similar to windows 7??

Edit: this seems promising
YiffOS as it most accurately reflects the perception of Linux users by everyone else

edit 2: if you're going to be a sperg about the words i use because ITS NOT TECHNICALLY CORRECT, i'm going to call you a nigger and move on to the informative posts

Solution
Debian, because things actually fucking work on it (at least after 20 minutes of tweaking) and it gives you helpful tools. You could have a gaming PC and a server run the same operating system and both would work well and be able to access shared resources like a samba network, etc. Running an OS for clout is gay, run what works and doesn't hoard your data for AI training

In Debian and many OS's, there are themes you can just download and use that change how your desktop environment looks. There are some nice looking ones that basically look like sleeker Windows. I would recommend Debian + Cinnamon desktop environment (taskbar with start button on bottom) + a theme you like.
