It felt so liberating deleting that Twitter account I had for 3 years. Nothing but porn bots, pointless arguing about stupid subjects, and dumb political stories that keep you scared and depressed. It was a breath of fresh air to leave them all behind. I rarely use social media anymore but I only follow artists I like on there. I don't like to post on there.

The day I figured it out, after fourteen straight hours of staring at watch people die videos. You ever done that? You look in their eyes, even in a video, doesn't matter if they're dead or alive, you can still read them. You know what you see? They welcomed it... Not at first, but... right there in the last instant. It's an unmistakable relief. See, cause they were afraid, and now they saw for the very first time how easy it was to just... let go. Yeah, they saw, in that last nanosecond, they saw... what they were. You, yourself, this whole big drama, it was never more than a nigger-rigged presumption of dumb will, and you could just let go. To finally know that you didn't have to hold on so tight. To realize that all your life -all...

It was all the same dream, a dream that you had inside a locked room, a dream about being a person. And like a lot of dreams, there's a monster at the end of it.

The day I turned 18. Skipped school to go to the Secretary of State and get my full driver's license. I had just bought my first truck and drove all over the area listening to music and enjoying the freedom. It was one of the best days of my life.
What truck was it? This is a deciding factor in whether to mock you or not.

Drove up north alone for 9 hours to see the 2024 total eclipse after everyone I knew got cold feet. I knew I would never get a chance in my life to see one ever again so I was determined. Every single day leading up to April 8 was full of anxiety because of the cloudy weather. It was the first time I traveled across the United States. I had used all my vacation time and taken the entire week off, so I had complete freedom to just drive around and enjoy everything.

I used a website called overlander to find safe places to sleep overnight. I slept in my car in Walmart parking lots alongside RVs, caravans, truckers, and other campers. I met some odd people who followed eclipses as a hobby. I watched the climate turn from Spring to Winter around me the further I drove North. I visited White Mountain in New Hampshire and after the eclipse, visited the Canadian border.

The total eclipse itself was only three minutes long and I was able to witness the 360-degree sunset. Since the solar weather has been violent this year, the total eclipse was affected and flares could be seen with the naked eye.

I would like to do it again but hopefully not alone.
