What is the purpose of life?

You have Elon Musk in his biography, who said he’s trying to save the human race by colonizing the stars and re-awaken humanity manifest destiny. Though just as Napoleon loved France because of the army she gave him, Musk wanted to awaken America's manifest destiny because of the freedom she gave him that his native South Africa couldn't provide him. You have Trump that wanted to be president to make America great again because it’s his home and country. Napoleon, who was considered the god of war, Julius Caesar and Charlemagne the Great reborn as he conquered Europe, Augustus manifest because his reforms made life prosperous like the early years of North Korea communism, and who achieved much in years what would have taken lifetimes for ordinary men and women. He was close to emulate figures in the books Plutarch Lives he read like it was his bible. The obvious downside with these examples is that Elon Musk will fire you despite working for him for 15 years over a mistake. Trump will do the same to you and he failed in his mission by not changing much for the better. Napoleon's achievements came crashing down in 20 years, his achievements glorious as was his volcanic ego, and he died on a backwater island.

But then you read Plutarch lives, say under the chapter Solon, where a good life is to live an ordinary life, to take care of your family, help your mother, etc...

I’m not trying to get self-help advice, although still great to know from people who’ve experienced, lived, seen, and went through more crap than I. I’m curious what you think is the purpose of life is?

Edit: Oh sorry, when I mentioned it’s great to know from people who’ve experienced more things than I have. I was talking about you guys. You know a lot more that makes this website worth going to.

To achieve communion with God, and to become like God, so far as it's possible for a human being to become like God. Mainly through prayer, charity, and humility.

If I ever make any progress on that, I'll let you know.

There is no meaning to life. Life just is.

If you want the most physical answer, it is to pass along our genes. But even then, why bother with perpetuating and reproducing? What's the point of it?

Nothing. There is no point. Even if you reproduce or not. Be a decent human being, enrich your life and the lives of others.

Just get busy. Then you won't have to think about it.

What is the purpose of life of any animal? To transfer your genes futher and die. Homo sapience likes to pretend that he is different, well lol he is not. Aside from that purpose, there is none but you are free to invent one for yourself.
