Other than the securement of Nationalism (a la the French Rev. which basically created the notion of modern nations), what's the purpose and goal of countries?
The average American will say it's for the encapsulation and enrichment of their Rabbi leadership, cultural reasons for nationhood seem to be vanishing and everything is economic now

The purpose of nation states was to secure borders. Everything else came later.

Now that many nations no longer control their own borders, you are seeing the rise of ethnocentrism and tribal identity.

You're conflating the notion of a nation with a country. A nation is a collective of people who share common traits (ethnicity, religion.)

A country comprised primarily of a single nation is called a nation state with the purpose of governing, protecting and representing that nation on the world stage.

However most countries aren't nation states these days, in the West this seen not only by the flood of brown people but also institutions such as the European Union allowing for freedom of movement and settlement between its members. While in the east and africa the borders were arbitrarily drawn by colonial powers.

I see it as that a nation is a self-propagating culture of people (like a family grown beyond the point that any two people in it would be other than strangers), a country is a stretch of land with a coherent identity, and a state is a govt plus all it controls.

But in the modern day the words are so abused, and nation-states presumed the default, that we use all three as being interchangeable.

I love this song (about Japanese internment), and there's a particular line in it ("like a man without a nation") that has haunted me ever since I heard it. Has this wonderful sadness to it. Kind of like a person being without a family.

This is why I think nation states are bound to become obsolete, or at least significantly discounted. Really vain things are holding it together and like you said, either disagreement over predetermined borders or continental unions make them even less unique.
Travel is faster now than in any point in history, so migration is too as a consequence

Mighty toxic men say:"dis is muh territory, get off or get killed."

They're also making up things like other races being inferior to their own, as war is always fought psychologically, too.

A glue to keep people together that live on the same territory. As far as I remember history lessons the term came around the times of the French Revolution. Together with the term Nationalism. Before that you had emperors like Louis 14 who didnt give a shit about the plebs, no nation under him. He believed himself to be chosen by God which is the definition of "royalty". And after they executed all of their royalty during the French Revolution they came up with the idea of a "nation". Somebody has still to go to war and fight for rich peoples property. The industrialization just started and some (((people))) got filthy rich.

But you dont fight for god anymore or the king or Catholicism. You fight for the nation. Somehow you are brothers with the fat rich factory owners even though you are dirt poor. Unfortunately somebody has to die. The nation. You are a member of the nation, but you dont decide who can participate in it.

The concept of nations is largely Eurocentric in origin and was exported to other places. There is nothing concrete about what has essentially only been the norm for two hundred years of human history
There have always been civilizations, but they don't match the modern standards for nationhood in many ways

100 %. Its not quite clear what a nation is. But it always flares up when it comes to some type of war or conflict. Taking the Ukraine war as an example. Zelenskyy is a Jew. And a Ukrainian or Ukrainian nationalist at the same time. No problem there. The Ukrainian ultranationalist AZOV battalion are Neo pagans and Neo nazis fighting for the same goals as Zelenskyy. No problem there. Nazi ideology is both anti slavic and anti semitic. Again: no problem there.

A nation is a people - a folk. A nation may be joined, properly speaking, only by birth into it. A country is an area of land and a state is the organization which rules a country. These three are not synonymous and never have been outside of jewish sophistry. That said, there is no "purpose" to a nation except to survive. Its existence is justified by itself.

A nation is a group of suckers that have been brainwashed into paying taxes to Globohomo and fighting its wars. I guarantee you that no one running any country today thinks of themselves as anything other than a member of an international elite that has the authority to stripmine its niggercattle.

This is like the New York Times understanding of what a nation is. The French Revolution popularized the concept "nation" but that concept has existed for centuries before it. The Hebrew Bible literally talks about "The Jewish nation" and that book was written in the 5th to 7th century CE.
Likewise, "nation state" isn't really a new concept either, if you look the city-states in Ancient Greek like Athens, Sparta, Thebes, you can see the striking similarities between these two.

Agreed. The upper-class elites definitely do not see themselves as part of their nation. Those people have been trained, taught and programmed to think of themselves as "worldly" and "international" as opposed to the plebian working-class whom the elites see as beneath them. For people who grow up in local communities, who forge bonds with their fellow countrymen, "nation" becomes a tangible relationship between people within the same group/community/class.

The American version kinda looks like this:

"What is the purpose of nations?" To convert niggers into white people.

It's an extension of tribe. A family unit is stronger than an individual, and a tribe is more powerful still.

The further out you go, the more esoteric the measures like a shared language and culture are to instill a sense of belonging. And when these measures are not in place, that fosters disconnect and sectarianism. They can be exclusionary, but also accepting provided the individual tries to integrate.

I think this is a significant reason for the tension particuarly in Europe today. There are Westernised nations that don't suffer this with a very strong national culture like Poland and Ireland, and then there are others like England with a complete and total cultural void outside of small rural communities.

Think of them as IRL containment threads - the members of nations can exert their own laws, customs, culture, language, political or religious beliefs without imposing them on the rest of the population, causing conflicts and shit-flinging festivals. It worked fine (except 17th century, where euroids were at constant war with each other, and both World Wars), until the virus of multiculturalism has been planed in minds of elites. Such utopia is hard, if not impossible to maintain, ethnic conflicts are due to happen. Yugoslavia showed that to outside world.

Most of the time you need to wall yourself away from retards on the opposite side. So that retards will have harder time getting on your side, and also so you don't get to see the utter repulsiveness of their antics, making you MATI. And trying to integrate retards into civilized discourse, look at both African former colonies and nigger-loving eurocuck countries that accepted illegal rapefugees en masse. How did it end up? First group is still almost all shitholes, second... well many countries are backpedaling on that matter, and more right-wing, anti immigration parties are gaining traction. Which further proves my point.

I don't want to believe that's the real E. Michael Jones.
Yes my friend its him. I m not a fan but I check in on him from time to time cause he sounds serious. Unfortunately he suffers from the same illness as most academics and intellectuals. Some other quotes from him were: Irish people are not white. And: Focusing on race is a dead end.
