Didn't know it was that old. I think the last time I heard someone using it as a positive was back in about 2015 maybe. They also claim to help the poor but instead make poor folk's lives worse by stifling upward economic mobility.


Beyond that it has to be their insidiousness. Everything the modern left touches eventually becomes a twisted shadow of its former self; a husk filled with nothing but grifters, posers, and sycophants.

Another thing is their duplicitous "by any means necessary" approach to all things, where they'll use and discard people. See: the way the Biden administration used the National Guard as bodyguards and then sent them to sleep in a garage like dogs.

The worst part about the far left is they want all their progressive demands met today, when that’s not how American politics works. Social progress takes time. Black Americans and women have been fighting for equal rights and social acceptance for over a century, the LGBT+ will get there, but it takes time and a whole generation to die off first. It sucks, but it sucked for women in the 1900s and black Americans in the 1800s.
We have a government where everything needs to be debated and compromised so things actually stick around. When Obama tried ruling with executive orders, Trump just undid what he could. When Trump tried ruling with executive orders, Biden just undid what he could. Gee, I wonder what will happen when a Republican is President? This is why we need bipartisan support on issues, so one side doesn’t immediately undo progress because “the other side did it and I don’t like the other side.”

The second worst part of the far left is how quickly they write people off as an “-ist” or a “-phobic” when they’re not, they just have a different viewpoint.
A old acquaintance of mine has gotten big on the idea that disabled people should get the Rona vaccine first and anybody who disagrees is an ableist (they’re not disabled, if that matters to anyone) Like, am I ableist for saying “Well, no. Healthcare workers need it first, then essential workers that can’t stay home, then the immunocompromised, then the elderly, then the general public can have it.”

I think if I had to sum it up in one general term, its hypocrisy.

-They claim to be freedom fighters, but they want to censor everybody and force everyone to follow their rules.
-They call those they dislike Nazis, even though they are the modern day book burners and try to silence and censor everything they disagree with.
-They claim to be the rebels, but then want us to fully submit to the will of the state and do what we're told in all scenarios.
-They say they want to question and critique everything, but don't like it when that critical eye is turned on them.
-They call people they don't like racists, but then express open hatred for whites and will call PoCs that don't fall in line the most racist shit I've ever heard in my life. (Case in point, apparently Cubans are just dirty whites now)
-They claim the 2016 election was stolen and went on and on about it for 4 years and even got their investigation, but when the 2020 election had some discrepancies in the data, they wanted everyone to shut up and just accept it.
-They claim they want to elevate marginalized people, but then don't want them to be held to the same high standard (meaning, its okay to call a Michael Bay movie a pile of shit every which way till Sunday, and women and PoCs should get the same opportunities he does, but DONT YOU DARE mock that Ghostbusters movie!)
-They claim they want peace, but then speak with violent rhetoric and wish death on people they dislike (and the more violent ones take it even further than that).

It all boils down to hypocrisy. If the left wasn't full of insufferable hypocrites, they'd have no movement. Not saying the right doesn't have any hypocrites (I'm an Independent by the way) but what the left has turned into is just a 3 ring circus, and the politicians and all of media have gone out of their way to pander to this group of vocal whack jobs who are either assholes, completely insane, or both.

They'll also call you "garbage human beings" for saying niggers or calling jews kikes, and pat themselves on the back, like they're heroes, when they talk crap behind their customers, and yours, back for instance. And they really don't like white people, I mean these leftists sounded happy when those "white" rioters we're getting shot during capital hill raid. "At least black lives matter didn't make it this deep into the capital", while said movement we're burning black businesses, not a few black homes, killing black cops, and using girls as human shields for the "greater good".

For what possible reason would they need to censor the right if the entirety of the right is in the pocket of corporate interests? Obviously this is not true. American neoliberalism started under Jimmy Carter and British neoliberalism exploded under Tony Blair.

1) We don't call out our own shit.
At least, most of the media doesn't.
I fly with leftist, but almost all my friends are moderates who won't go hard with their autism. Most of us are like the right where we wish for freedom to live your own life regardless of what others think. However, social climbers, clout chasers, manipulators, and the small dicked realized chasing after being the most rightous will earn them asspats and or power. The louder of these voices force everyone to conform or be shunned as racist, so the moderate fucks get hosed because they can't speak up over them unless its with their friends. No one wants to waste time arguing with hard leftist, not even us moderate bastards. We also don't want to lose our jobs over people running smear campaigns against us, ie fuck you if you speak out youre racist etc. The inability to weed out crazy screws us over big time.
2) We want to control too many people's lives.
Much like how vehement Christians, intense islams, and fedora tipping atheist insist on getting you to agree with them AND live life how THEY think, the left can fall into this pattern as well. Again, like most christians, atheists, and non wahabbist muslims, most of us don't give a shit, but holy fuck does current culture promote those who do. CHECK YOUR PRIVLIDGE is a famous battle cry for a reason: some fuckers can't stop trying to meddle with others or pick a fight.
3) Black and white thinking.
Racist vs nonracist. Black vs white. Persecuted vs privileged. Stunted emotional maturity is why we can't get past that. The normal ones can, the crazies cannot. We are all humans who can fall into tribal mentalities. Even this forum is guilty of it.
4) NO REPENTANCE
You can be baptized in the Christian faith and become purified of your original sin. You cannot wash away your privilege and the sins of your ancestors as long as you are you. You WILL be second class so I can feel Powerful. Theres hardcore christian sects who judge people for bot coming to church every week of course but you know what I mean. This leads to people realizing they can never not be nazis and souring their opinion of lefty voters further, and its hard to get that through some of these motherfucker's thick skulls.
5) Censorship
Some of us are literally too pussy to debate others. If you think hearing the devil's rock musi- I mean, the republican or tory trying to make a point means you or others will be tainted, you're retarded. Trying to silence other opinions is stupid and its why like 50% of us are here: freeze peach (to laugh at tards). This is the thing that made me go from soft liberal that I was at one time to the right - I found out about European holocaust denial laws and the ruthlessness they are enforced over there. I have no interest in holocaust denial and find many of them kooky, but that's why you ignore them instead of trying to crack skulls. Since the Euro left tends to be a little ahead of the US version, I think eventually they will try and code in hate speech laws of some kind as somehow not violating the constitution.

Since I had that epiphany many years ago, I have come to realize that most liberals are open hypocrites/liars. They championed free speech in so far as they saw it as giving them an advantage politically. Now that icky right wing people rely on it, well, their (fake) 'commitment' to it suddenly has a thousand loopholes. Now it's just a handful of idealists on the left who hold a genuinely free speech ideology.
