What is the worst thing about the right?

The right has fallen to being nothing more than the anti-left. There is no 5 year, no 10 or 100 year plan for society. The plan is now, and will remain, to embrace schizophrenic beliefs and oppose, and troll the left where possible.

They cannot define themselves without the subject of the conversation being the left. There is no real right in America; there's the Left and its shitty Jokar counterpart.

You're largely correct, but there are exceptions.

that makes sense, since 99.999999999999999999999% of the things that the right is doing are wrong.
but do mean from right wingers specifically or things you read in general?
Both. The right as a whole is a self defeating mess of unstable and alienated personality types that never get anywhere.

There is no real left, either. Tankies hold fewer public offices than lolbertarians and other fringe ideologies. The more mainstream progressives eventually get cucked by the DNC and the ones who aren't are thrashed by AIPAC. What you're left with is social justice vs. social conservatism, because the consoomer reigns supreme. Our economic policy of endless consumption propped up with debt-swapped fractional reserve banking supersedes every issue. The culture wars only exist to give voters the illusion of choice.

A lot of things. The right isn’t successful for more reasons than just the Left having institutional capture.

But if I had to speak from the heart and shoot from the hip the Right is full of people who really are too narrow-minded. This leads to a lot of problems.

1) dogma. Dogma isn’t unique to the right but it’s dogma that isn’t even derived from the academy or news media so I think there is less of an excuse for it. The right is in the weaker position and so would gain a lot from experimentation, not from dogmatism.

2) short term thinking. I think this runs in parallel rather than as a result of it but a lot of right wingers really do not have a mind for strategy, only tactics. Most right wing life advice is like this too. It usually tells people to be more mistrustful and transactional. Which is bad. You’ll just became an unlikable douche, and probably not even a successful one.

3) turf wars. The narcissism of small differences in other words. The left has the ability to vote for Biden after spending a year demonizing him. And they actually do have influence in his administration on a personnel level. The right schismed around the question of if racism should come before religious bigotry, sexism, homophobia, and so forth. And from where I sit the Godly Nigger faction won, which swiftly ended the E-Right’s cultural relevance (perhaps forever).

If they had a mind for tactics they would be in a better position than they are now, because you can get very far with tactics alone. They have a mind for neither strategy nor tactics, their mind is closer to 'edgy contrarian teenager'.

freedom is for communists
It's funny how you bring that up, the Left thinks that freedom is for Nazis. But yeah I seriously have noticed this behavior on both sides and it's literally the most irritating thing about US politics.
The things I hated most about the right have now become the core values of the left. The right used to be the nosy bossy ones telling homos they couldn't suck dick and telling whores they couldn't have abortions (I realize this still happens but they're basically powerless at this point in the large picture), now its the left telling everyone how to act with their lunatic identity politics.

Current right the worst thing is probably the over edgy retards and conspiracy theorists, which I wouldn't say are the mainstream right but are exploited by the liberal media.

The big difference is there used to be a lot of right wing retards in power that could spread their lunacy, but this has now been replaced with leftist lunacy. Basically anyone whos in power telling me how to act and threatening me if I don't act they way they want is a complete fag, right or left. That's the worst thing about either party.
Exactly, I've noticed how the Left used to be against things like war and corporate overreach and influence in society and now they fully endorse both because some corposhit entity whose products are dependent on third world slave labor spout some garbage about racial justice and puts rainbow flags in their God damn offices. Like that will cover for your crimes, dipshits. But the general public are bigger dipshits who buy into it. Also, the same people who protested against invading Iraq will happily send everyone else's wealth and offspring to Ukraine, where it will help families in need be thrown into the Swiss bank accounts of the corrupt tin pot dictator that Washington is currently supporting. Funny how I never see any of the blue and yellow flag/heart spammers actually going there and even some right wingers are dumb enough to fall for that crap, but that's a story for a different thread.

Another thing is, the Left play the game of "it's Current Year" very well and the Right is stupid enough to buy into that shit themselves. They would be far better off if they actually stood up for personal liberties like they claim the founders were about or whatever.
The Right has guns, right? They boast about gun ownership but do not use them when the situation warrants it.
We're at that awkward point in time where many people believe it's too late to work within the system to change things for the better, yet too early to shoot the bastards and start the fuck over. As for me, I would much rather see a "peaceful divorce" where Red and Blue states just fuck off and become their own countries, but all the blue state urbanites would starve because no soy burgers or vegan sushi or whatever the fuck those people eat can be produced without the farmland that exists in the "flyover country" they so despise.
That's how I felt Trump was during his presidency. No matter who was giving his support, he would just eat it up. Publicly. He craved the admiration.

There's no standards with politics anymore. You could be a Communist, Nazi, pedophile, racist, as long as you're regurgitating what they like, they'll welcome you with open arms.
So if Donald Trump/Joe Biden advocated for/against homosexual furry pedophiles masturbating in public in front of kindergartners, then Trump/Biden supporters would be for/against homosexual furry pedophiles masturbating in public in front of kindergartners, depending on what their would-be emperor decreed?

Sounds about right.

Forgive me, I had to edit a couple of things

Man, where do you even begin with this one? I'm only going to focus on the political right in the US, because I'll admit I know very little about them in other countries.

My biggest problem with the right is an inability to embrace change that isn't spearheaded by their political opposition. Now, there is a mild excuse for this, in that the political right is by nature conservative, so change is always going to come at a slow pace. Instead of thinking about how wrong a lot of left wing (not necessarily "liberal") thought is and trying to forge even a short term plan that would work against it, they burrow further into the quagmire of identity politics the left has dumped on them and become immovable, yet reactionary sticks accomplishing nothing but letting the left claim minor battle after minor battle in what is a mostly fake war about extreme minorties aside from the black population, which is manipulated by the political left at will, because the some of the right is infested with some very outdated ideas about who black people actually are and can be.

This doesn't apply to the right as a whole, but in a large part of their voting population, technology has passed them by, even though app based UI's for smartphones and tablets are designed to be usable by the most moronic consumer cattle. I'm not saying the older right wing demo should be on social media 24/7/365 like terminally online tankie troons, but being able to use mobile devices and navigate the current internet could help some.

And then you have the far/extremist right, who tend to actually be fairly tech savvy, but also be very outspoken about incredibly unpopular methods for usually only social ills. The kind that wants to nuke Israel, deport all brown people and muslims to the bottom of the Marianas trench and seems to think that would somehow help while concurrently being utterly clueless about conservative economic policies. These types are pure ammo for the left wing agenda, because it's entirely too easy to paint all the right wing as unrepentant uberfascists and general scummy societal malcontents. It's fairly easy to paint all the left as pinko tranny niggerfaggots for the exact same reason, but doing either of those is just lame and unconstructive. But it's easier and makes money, hence all the culture wars clickbait and simping tribalistic "sheeple" (I've always disliked that term, but it grows more apt by the year).

I've always said that a true meeting of the best political minds of the retarded binary could actually produce something like a workable and malleable long term economic plan that would "lift all boats". Trump tried and did a decent job of this by taking what the Obama admin did and running with it, but it was Trump doing it, and since he ran with an R on the ticket, all the credulous morons who vote blue no matter who and a metric fuckload of people in our entrenched bureaucracy who stood to lose too much crippled a genuine upstart with workable but divisive ideas. Not a huge fan of generalissimo naranja, but he wasn't entirely wrong economically. Plus he was always a 90's dem running as a repub. He was only conservative in the sense that the left went further left.

Instead of coming up with a workable or semi workable plan, the elites from both sides years ago came together and condescendingly went with the conclusion that the commons were incorrigibly stupid and easy to manipulate and formed what we now know as the uniparty, basically ensuring political gridlock while we all fight over insanely dumb shit while they abscond with the riches and hoard them against the perpetually imminent collapse of western monetary structures. Increasingly, left and right wing have become meaningless symbols of identitarian allegiance to shibboleths and decades old political sarcomata.

I still believe it is possible to adapt, if not reverse that perversion of politics, but with increasing political apathy, as well as all manner of forced demographic malfeasance, it's going to be an uphill battle and then some. Stay safe, kiwis.

Here's a perspective from down under:

The Australian 'right' wing fails to be a 'right' wing at all. They somehow repeatedly over the last two decades managed to financially mismanage the country worse than the main fucking left-wing party, they were the ones to legalise homosexual marriage all because they wanted to appear moderate to the left-wing crowd purely to snag more votes, and at this point the only values they seem to actually stick to are how much deforestation they can get away with in order to appease various foreign corporations who don't even pay taxes and how hard they can prop up the gambling industry.
They've for the last decade or more relied on what's left of the Christian population to reliably vote for them knowing that no matter what their government does, they can always use their media influence to paint themselves as the slightly better option than the two major left-wing parties.

At this point it's a choice between financial ruin and cultural decay, on the one hand, and massive acceleration of cultural decay, on the other.

Any conservative party not doing all they can to conserve the nation's culture, heritage, history, and financial status, is a failure of a conservative party.

All the religious nonsense. And the obsession with Japanese crap.
yes, I hate westerns.

they let get under their skin too much too easily.

It's good to hear that there are other people who have these concerns. I know from your (very entertaining) series of long posts on the UK that you're British, but I guarantee you that the people fucking up the label of "libertarian" aren't doing it for respectability. Here in the States, when people think of libertarians, they either think of this video from 0:59 onward or Vermin Supreme.

Calling people "not real libertarians" is almost a meme at this point, but I think it definitely applies to the ongoing conservative invasion of the movement. This has created real problems for actual advocacy for libertarian ideals. Even on a micro level, I recently bought myself a Gadsden flag. This shouldn't have been a huge decision, but I spent a good week or so worrying about how if I bought this libertarian flag meant to express libertarian ideals surrounding life, liberty, and property, friends and passersby who saw it would mistake me for one of the same retards who make up the target market for Back the Blue Gadsdens.

The Randroids are an entirely different story, but I have tried and true ways of weeding them out that aren't too intrusive or hard to pull off. My favorite metaphor for them is that they're people who learned how to read, but never progressed beyond simple picture books. Dr. Seuss and phonics books are meant to teach you how to read Jane Eyre and budget reports and all of the other documents that make up our everyday lives, in the same way that Ayn Rand is (supposed) to introduce people to Nozick, Spooner, and Hayek.

I know I've written you a bit of a novel in response, but I'd encourage you to keep fighting against the people seeking to co-op the label and political infrastructure of the movement. It's easy to pick out leftists because of their views on private property and freedom of association, but the right can be a more insidious threat precisely because they're better at masking their authoritarian tendencies.
That flag in itself is a contrarian kind of thing. How can you be libertarian AND support law enforcement at the same time? Makes no sense. This is a little off topic but it is kind of nuts how some people in the 2A community are ridiculous "back the blue" types despite having massive anti-government rants in the same breath (which, I might add, they may not necessarily be wrong about those rants). Of course, once the DNC and their Chicom puppet masters got back into office the whole anti-police thing was quietly dropped and even hoisted onto the GOP, whose job is to basically take it up the ass upon request.

That right there is probably the worst thing about American right wingers, or at least the Republican Party specifically, they're too afraid to piss people off that won't like them anyway. They've become too comfortable with their role as the "heel" like in pro wrestling.

Honestly, I would like to see a viable alternative to the DNC. But the GOP is not it.

I believe G.K. Chesterton had a great quote about Conservatives/Right

“The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected. Even when the revolutionist might himself repent of his revolution, the traditionalist is already defending it as part of his tradition. Thus we have two great types -- the advanced person who rushes us into ruin, and the retrospective person who admires the ruins. He admires them especially by moonlight, not to say moonshine. Each new blunder of the progressive or prig becomes instantly a legend of immemorial antiquity for the snob. This is called the balance, or mutual check, in our Constitution.”

That they they to mix ''Ayn Rand style'' objectivism with paleo-conservatism and Christian values especially these days. You have to be kidding me. To think those things go together for one thing is completely incorrect. Christian values was never about ''sink or swim'' - that is more of corporate mantra and completely irreligious.

Jordan Peterson is a good example of an idiot who thinks those two ideologies can blend. Ayn Rand was an Atheist by the way and that shaped her views.
