We all know that Stans are very well rooted in pretty much any fandom these days (and that's not a good thing), but what is the worst type of Stan? (And it can be any fanbase, whether it'd be music, movies, TV shows, cars, sports, you name it.)

My nominations for worst stans are The Last of Us 2 Stans (namely Abby and Neil Druckmann Stans), and Tesla Stans.

They're probably not the absolute worst, but Britophile stans are really up there as far as fandoms go. Dr Who, Sherlock and Harry Potter diehards really are in a league all their own. I remember a video (I think by Metokur) about Dr Wholock freaks sending incredibly long, detailed and graphic death threats to anyone who disagrees with how they view their fandoms or gay ships even slightly. I remember looking it up to see if it's as bad as the video showed, and they're actually even worse. And don't forget how they reacted to Rowling's very mild view on trannies.

They're probably not as common or as rampant as the anime (mostly loli/hentai) stans, but that's a really low bar if we're being honest here.

At least when MCU stans throw their money away, they don't have to wait 2-3 years for something in return, and convince themselves that the waiting is one of the best parts.
 
Turkmenistan economy wise is looking pretty bad, it's not getting better with the dictator's in place (it's the second most authoritarian country only above north korea), shit the former dictators actually built a very beautiful city but because how poor the citizens are, almost nobody lives there. They even built a statue of his book
 
All of them, back in the day people were just fans on things, when words like "fandom" and "stanning" gained traction, people started becoming proud consoomers who NEED every toy and gadget.

Bong here. Dated a Malaysian girl whose flatmate, a Canadian girl, was an honest to god Stan for anything stereotypically British in the modern, varnished sense. Basically everything you listed and more.

A very weird person.
