For personally, it when I can go unnoticed and do whatever I want at anytime, anyday without owning someone or something money or favors.

What about you?

to be truly free, all you need do is apply for an american citizenship
the usa is the only country where faggots can sit on their porch and smoke pot while they brandish an ar-15

god bless america

I think true freedom is best understood as the power of choice. The more choices you have, and the more power you have over them, the more free you truly become.

Where these choices originate from doesn't make much difference as far as I'm concerned, and this is why I think conservatives and libertarians tend to have a myopic view of freedom. They recognize the ways in which a society can work to limit a person's choices (such as when governments step in and prevent people from doing something), but they fail to recognize the ways in which society can also work to maximize a person's choices (think public education, social safety nets, and worker protections: all things which undoubtedly empower people by giving them options that they otherwise wouldn't have).

To be secure in my person no matter where I step foot in my country. Aside private property which I don't have a right to trespass on.

I should be allowed to walk down a highway interstate without being arrested.

Going 200 mph on a Hayabusa while shooting an M249 SAW obviously

Being capable of doing things that you don't actually want to do is freedom for me. I've had it described as standing at the edge of a cliff and not jumping off before, and that's about exactly how I feel about it.

true freedom is being able to say /do whatever i want as long as i don;t interfere with others' freedoms
true freedom is the vanishing of economical/social/cultural fears

To be able to do whatever you want without directly hurting others. Doesn't matter if its dumb shit without merit or harmful to the person doing it. To live in a free society is to accept that people will hurt themselves and surprise you with their stupidity and depravity.
