I went to VCU for my first degree in biology, and I'm back for engineering coursework.

Cool I have a friend who goes there for engineering! He seems to really like it there.

My college is kinda meh... it's a community college its supposed to be like that, but yeah... can't wait until I transfer, but yeah, it's just... meh...

I was majoring in computer science. Computers have kinda been my hobby since my neurologist told my legal guardian that I can't play video games anymore...

It's all coming together now. No vidya sort of makes you the "Anti-Chris". :asperchu:

Yeah? You know which department? I'm in mechanical. I wonder if I know him...

Not sure. His name is Thomas and his last name is P. He also has curly light blond hair. Probably shouldn't give away more than that.

Heh, well, I've been an adult for a long time, which means I can do whatever I want. And honestly, I've always thought that modern video games weren't significantly any more flashy than television or movies. I mean, old NES games and old arcade games and things like that had flashing as an animation technique because they didn't have much to work with, but that hasn't been the case for a long time. Really, I think it was more that he was an old guy with a stereotyped understanding of video games. But I did what I was told.

I could play all the games I wanted nowadays, regardless. But as a teenager, video games kinda developed into an anti-hobby. I try to play games sometimes, and I can enjoy it, but I lose interest very quickly. I'm much more interested in programming and other computer subjects.

I got a pretty nice university. I can't focus on my coursework, but I still mostly get it done on time, even if it stresses me out. Otherwise, I enjoy university a lot.
I feel like I'm wasting my time and money, though. The job I've set my sights on won't require a film degree. Or a degree at all, to be honest.

Understandable, if I were your friend I wouldn't want you giving my info to some weird guy who hangs out on a forum dedicated to obsessing over an autistic manchild. But anyway I don't know any Thomases, at all.

I attend a community college in Southern California. It's my second year currently and looking at how I'm doing, I guess I'm very average. I plan to transfer but I feel like putting that on hold since I had thoughts of joining the Navy. The school itself is rather nice though it had some problems with a former superintendent back around 2010 or 2011.

I currently attend a public university in Southern California, so here's a rundown of it:

-It's a commuter school where the campus turns into a ghost town on weekends and holidays. Parties are present, even though the RA's (especially where I live) are strict and tend to shut them down fairly quickly.
-It's very, very well known for its biology and engineering departments, so naturally, everyone and their dog is either an engineer or pre-med here. Because I desperately wanted a six-figure job to fall into my lap upon graduation, I decided to major in sociology instead.
-Our library was used as the snow fortress in Inception and we have a slanted house on top of the engineering building that holds tours on a semi-regular basis.
-We have no D1 sports or football team, and we have virtually no school spirit except for when it's that one special day of the year where everyone gets so wasted they can't remember anything anyway.
-We have a Greek system, even though you don't really see them active on campus (except for the beginning of the year where they feel the need to take up space on one of the busiest parts of campus).
-Despite us being a top 50 school, we frequently get confused with the less prestigious state university 15 minutes down the road.
-All of the food in our dining halls and markets are given 300% price markups on a regular basis, putting students in the common predicament of exhausting their meal plans a quarter early.
-Even though we're a university, my school is composed of different colleges with unique focuses and general ed requirements that range from lax to hellish.

I'm pretty sure my description gave it away, haha

I go to a conservatory (music school) in Massachusetts. It's pretty small (only around 800 students), expensive (moreso by the year), and a bit pretentious, but the faculty is wonderful. I'm kind of a middling classical voice student there- I haven't really achieved great distinction/been cast in anything substantial, but I get pretty good grades and I think my vocal technique is pretty strong on its own. I just have to find my footing as a performer, which I might be able to do better when I switch disciplines after graduating.
Musical theater has always been my first love, but I really haven't had the guts to pursue it until recently.

I went to a small private school about 5-10 miles north of Kansas City. I was accepted by Mizzou and UMKC, but this school gave me a full ride. Finding a job, though, has been a bitch and a half.

I know what you mean.

I mean, I am employed. It's just that I'd like to get a better job.

Oh, OK. Yeah, that happens to a lot of people, they're underemployed.

I'm training for a job now, too, something basic but at least I'll get my foot in the door.

Arabic. Administration sucks. Everyone wallahs.

We're a satellite branch of a fairly major school in Michigan. Located in a highly Arabic city. I'll let you guess what school it is.

I can't stand it here. Everyone is either stupid and Arab, or stuck up and premed.

Although, I bet Chris would love it. Plenty of boyfriend-free-girlfriends he could talk to. If he could understand what a hijab is.
