TATP. Not because of its energy, or even because it is really easy to produce, but because it is far more likely to kill the maker than the intended target.

It has a really bad thermal instability problem, and most IED makers don't follow good storage protocols. For instance, putting it in screw top jars. You see TATP can vaporize, and reform its crystals on the ridges for the screw lid, and when you go to tighten the lid down... Bang, you're dead.

That just one of the issues, its problems are so pernicious that the Islamic radicals who most often use it have nicknamed it "Mother of Satan."

As for explosive I actually use: Lead Azide is fun, also extremely sensitive, not as bad as Gold Azide though.
