What lolcow that currently has a thread on the farms, have you been most tempted to White Knight for?

In my own case I know this may sound bad, but back when DSP got his bankruptcy and his detractors were on suicide watch, because the credit card companies weren't going to get their money. I was happy for him.

Anyone else got a lolcow they're tempted to defend?

There were a couple of people who came across as genuine addicts that I was tempted to white knight, due to my knowledge of how addiction works, but if an addict wants to wallow in his addiction, the best thing to do for him is to let him fuck off until he sinks low enough to want to change.

Addicts are the stupidest people to simp for. If you can narrow down your biggest problems to a substance you’re proactively seeking and using, those are the easiest things to fix

I didn't want to whiteknight him, but I really do feel a bit of sympathy for Chris.
He was around in the wild west days of the internet, I'm positive he's lower functioning than the autism label he got hit with, his parents fucked him over, and nobody actually tried to "help him" who wasn't also running their own con in the background.
I know he's not a good person, but I also think he's a good tipping point for when the internet started to modernize. I don't even think some of the most unhinged modern people here would pull the kind of shit that some people did to Chris back in the older days.

And unlike a lot of the people covered on here, I think Chris actually was a productive, semi-driven person at one point. He made one of the first Lets Plays, made his own comic and got a fucking two year college degree.
I really think it's possible to not excuse Chris' actions as a person while still feeling bad for how his life was set-up, much like characters in a greek tragedy.

i dont white knight for dsp, but his detractors do make me feel sympathy for him. this was especially so during his internet problem saga where some of his detractors went so far to simp for comcast customer service. i remember dsp complaining about being on the phone with comcat support trying to fix the problem, and some of his dents were attacking him for daring to say comcast customer support sucks. his dents are legit insanse.

cobes is another one, whom i dont white knight, but i do feel sympathy for. his a-logs tend to make him out to be worse than he really is. he is just an autistic retard who fried his brains with drugs and alcohol, he isnt evil.

the only one who i come close to being a white knight for is terry davis. he really was a smart guy who was crippled by schizophrenia and was taken advantage of by a bunch of trolls on /g/.
