Because even “transphobes” have by far the most differing political views: You can find them in the far right to the far left and everything in between from lesbians to gay men to strippers to sex workers to normies to hippies to communists and anarchists to fascists and liberals, normal people hate trannies so obviously there has to be something about it that makes it normal, the closest thing to this is “liberals” but people who hate them are retarded (Nazis and Communists) and don’t know what a liberal actually means.

Because in order to be on the progressive side of the trans issue, you have to accept a premise that is fundamentally absurd. You have to agree with the idea that a man can become a woman simply by identifying as one. That's an idea that most people will find hard to swallow, so only the most conformist and the most ideologically zealous can convince themselves they really believe it.

With gay/lesbian rights, for example, unless your objection is religion-based then it's hard to come up with a convincing argument for why two consenting adults of the same sex shouldn't be allowed to have a romantic relationship and get married. With race relations it's hard to argue that black people haven't been given a raw deal in the past, and maybe in the present as well. Agreeing with the progressive stance on these issues does not require you to fundamentally reject reality in the same way as you have to with transgenderism, so far less people buy it. People will be sympathetic to a good sob story, but they won't willingly lie to themselves.
