I'm self-employed and run my own business, but my work is fairly seasonal as well and I'm more working class in terms of overall assets and income.

So by Marx's logic, I'm a proletariat, a lumpenproletariat, and petit bourgeoisie all at once and also depending on the time of year.

Marxism is very much a product of the 19th Century Industrial Revolution and it doesn't fully work within the contexts of the 21st Century
