Working over my lunch doesn't make my day more productive, it makes me way fucking slower and less focused in the afternoon. And what will I do tomorrow?
The only time someone doesn't learn from their mistakes is if they don't fully accept they're mistakes to begin with.
Much like a man in AA they should accept their life has become unmanageable due to doordash and fruit smoothies and turn their will over to a higher power, then prepare themselves to have god remove all their defects of character (personally I've never made a mistake in my life so for me it isn't a problem).

believing in the basic rationality of humans. specifically, the delusion that sincere and intimate conversation is capable of changing minds or inducing some self-reflection, even when conducted in a non-hostile but definitely firm "there are always trade-offs" stance. some people never learn, and refuse to learn.
