What separates activism from SJW-ism?

Activists have a clear goal of what they want they want to see in society, like equal suffrage or legal same-sex marriage. They're about positive (as in constructive) change.

SJWs on the other hand are about getting rid of everything that offends their sensibilities, usually in media because it's easier to raise a stink about it and still look progressive and caring about social ills. It takes no effort at all to REEEE online about how a TV show is offensive to disabled autistic black muslim troons and therefore should be canceled.

A good question to ask is "Is there a definable end goal, a point at which you no longer need to act?".

It also bears mentioning that "activism" covers a lot of bases, many of them having little to do with SJWs, who are defined (generally) by progressive politics and very emotional presentation. They aren't necessarily activists, which is good news for tumblr bluehairs who would have to contend with "fibromyalgia" flare-ups otherwise.

There are activists who work in Africa, Asia, and South America. SJWs don't care about anything that happens outside of the US and western Europe. Activists have clear goals and will celebrate victories. SJWs constantly move the goal post and are never satisfied. Activists will go out and bust ass delivering aid, protesting, collecting signatures, doing fundraisers, building homes and schools, and more. SJWs can't even debate with someone on Twitter for more than five minutes before "running out of spoons." Activists work for change that will better people's lives. SJWs demand change that will validate their feelings.

Now now be fair to SJW's, they can't go to Africa because there are no Krispy Kremes there.

Activism involves a few things. Legit change, concerns, and feeling good about your efforts.

SJWs only want to feel good, so they engage people ob Twitter to say they're doing good work.

Being or cultivating beta orbiters is a big part of SJWism. Ultimately there is a greasy "trying to get laid" undertone to SJWism, which figures because it is basically a youth movement fueled by hormonal angst. Activism is about actually doing good, as others have noted in this thread.

Simple Answers:
Violence
Just Causes
Organization

Oh, and real activists don't care if people see their faces or not.

Good point. The ANTIFA spring to mind. They basically are SJWs organizing in real life, hence all the twitter and tumblr people whiteknighting them constantly. They share ideology.

And we all know the ANTIFA hate being unmasked.

"SJWs" aren't exclusively a lefty thing either. A lot of Evangelical types share much in common with SJWs. Evangelicals SJWs are the ones who scream about SpongeBob being homosexual propaganda or whatevs and get pissed that public schools are teaching their kids about evolution. I suppose most MRA's fall into that category too especially consider that just about the entirety of their movement exists solely on the internet.

Getting off your fucking arse and off twitter and doing something.

Places that offer services for vulnerable groups and especially for unpopular ones like the homeless can pretty much always use an unpaid pair of hands and they can always use your money.

"Social justice critique" of your favourite weeaboo trash comic however is 100% useless to everyone.

Like I know that this will make a lot of folks here think I'm a dick and sorry for power-levelling but I'm an active member of my local antifa. However, I haves never punched a nazi nor do I mask up. Our job is to form a protective wall separating the fash and whichever refugee family they've decided to harass this week, as well as explaining to locals that housing shortages are not caused by refugees but by the privatisation of council housing over decades. I also volunteer at a soup kitchen and rehab clinic. I consider myself ultra left but I fucking hate keyboard sjws (especially asexuals who think they're oppressed).

Good for you, nobody cares. Whether or not you punch Nazis or wear masks or whatever you're actively identifying yourself as part of an organisation that endorses these things ergo you're as bad as they are. When you declare yourself as part of any radical organisations regardless of position on the political spectrum you can't expect people to patiently wait around while you explain to them that just because antifa punch people and wear masks you, as a member of antifa, don't.
