What should I expect from the GRE?

I'm going to be taking the GRE within the next year. I've been looking at some sample problems and practice books, but I'm still not sure if I understand it. What can I realistically expect from it and the test taking procedure itself?

The General Retard Exam is a standardized test to ensure that takers have achieved a basic level of aptitude in being a retard, before moving on to higher-level retarded endeavors such as graduate school. As a member of the KF, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.
I need a 60 in Quantitative, 40 in Verbal, and a 3 in Analytical to do what I wanna do

Miyamoto Musashi once said something like "Fight as if you are already dead."

So, take the test as if you've already failed. Or something.

I guess you're going to be unhappy for the rest of your life then.

Aptitude tests are stupid. Most training actually happens on-the-job, even if they don't say as much in school, school can't teach you to do any thing but regurgitate something from a book for a test. Professors are universally latent-homosexual-failures who harbor deep resentment and hatred towards their students so they are nasty and teach nonsensical lessens in an attempt to prevent anyone form being more successful than their selves in the hopes the student will quint the profession and die on welfare. How are you going to know how to build a car until you've put a car together poorly a few times to get the hang of it? It's how you learn anything. School is dumb.
