The invert is the current standard, but it was only standardized recently as the first-line treatment as the procedure itself is the latest one developed so the risk/benefit ratio wasn't as clearly understood. There was a debate for a number of years in the literature regarding which was better the invert type or the colonic type. Then the reports of amhole colon cancer, amhole colon herpes/HPV, etc... started showing up in case reports and the colonic amhole was downgraded to a second-line surgery. But it's still used in certain situations where the drawbacks of invert are too high of a barrier or where it isn't possible due to any number of reasons (including the retards that chop off their own dicks/scrotums in a makeshift surgery when they are not immediately validated and not thinking that the tissue might be useful some day.)
