What type of addict is the worst?

From my experience, I had the worst encounters with benzo addicts.

Thieves and Gamblers are pretty awful can't trust them and will rip you off if you turn around for a second. Most addictions are self-destructive these assholes directly effect the people around them on a regular basis.

Regardless of what they are addicted to, the worst addicts are the ones who have not yet accepted and internalized that they are addicts. Not just because they lack the self-awareness to practice self-control, but because they will binge just to spite you if you accuse them of being an addict.

Potheads are the worst. They are constantly irritated when they aren't high and if god forbid you aren't high they'll be irritating towards you. Also, they all seem to have a weird chip on their shoulder constantly and freakout about the slightest inconvenience.

Sex/fetish addicts. Obnoxious, in-your-face twats who think anyone really gives a damn about their bs. They are enabled and pandered to in a way other types of addicts are not by politicians and society at large. They have a massive sense of entitlement and love attention.
Unlike other addicts these freaks actually go out of their way to groom others into thinking their addiction is healthy.
Other addictions don't have to involve other people to "work". A drug addict or alcoholic may get off to the idea he/she is destroying their or other people's lives and families but not necessarily. A sex addict invariably does. The reason is that you can pay for booze and drugs and they are always available for you to do whatever weird shit you want, people are not and even prostitutes have limits. I think this is what makes this type of addict the worst.

I would agree and further state AGPs are the worst. They not only involve and groom other people, but they have successfully created an entire movement around trying to groom parents and children into destroying the child's body be it with puberty blockers or actual surgery or both.

Never dealt with real hardcore junkies but "party drug" addicts are fucking annoying. Lost a couple of friends because they just could not function or do anything social without doing molly, coke, K and other shit.

Everyone hits on valid points for various addictions. Speed freaks are super unpredictable, doesn't matter if it's straight up smoking ice or just snorting prescription amphetamine cocktails. In my experience, heroin addicts and the general "pillheads" steal the most, and pillheads in particular seem to be the most dangerous in general. For some reason every pillhead I've known, whether it was benzos or prescription opiates or whatever, has lacked anything resembling empathy. It's like they become completely numb from the constant pill-induced head fog and turn into sociopathic little demonspawn--very impulsive and very violent in my experience. However, I would still consider the majority of them to be victims themselves--drug dealers (including corporations that caused the opioid crisis) are actively engaging in chemical warfare against civilian populations--drug addicts are just the casualties of their constant terrorism. Unfortunately, our culture isn't yet enlightened enough to throw American corporate executives or street-level heroin dealers into cells at CIA black sites alongside their ISIL and Al-Qaeda counterparts.

Followed closely by drug addicts. They just weird me out.

3rd place would be nicotine addicts for the reasons someone else listed. They are just obnoxious.

I wouldn’t hate sex addicts if they didn’t try to justify it with social justice.
