I have a Dell Inspiron laptop from 10 years ago. A few years ago, the LCD screen blacked out and now I have the computer synced to a desktop monitor. I hope to have a new one in the near distant future but minimum wage money won't help! :'(

Anyway, what computer do you have? How long have you had it and do you see any upgrades in your future?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 from 2010. It's my first laptop. Despite its age and heaviness it works well for me and I love it. :heart-full:

Apparently I've used this thing so much that I've had to buy replacement batteries like 3 times and replace the charging cord twice.

A Macbook Air I bought last summer. Still works great. Unless Apple comes out with major changes in the future to their product line, I'll keep using what I have now.

2015 15in Macbook pro and a 2013 27in iMac, and a couple of servers in Colocation I keep running for friends of mine and a few things I'm working on.

I tried the new Macbook and didn't like it the keyboard was to small for me when it came to throw,

2012 13" Macbook Pro. It's beginning to show its age, but I'm hoping to hold onto it for another couple of years before I invest in something better.

Alienware R4 Aurora from 2014.
It's my first desktop in like, 10 years.
It's nice but fucking massive.
I definitely want to upgrade the PSU so I can get duel graphic drivers and be able make super high-end 3D character models. First I need a lot more money.

For my Laptop I have a Toshiba Satellite. Not sure which model

I have a custom PC that my tech-minded brother helped me construct. Well, given my technology illiteracy, it was more just him putting it together and me making idle comments while watching him work.

NVIDIA/EVGA GTX 660TI

Intel i7 4790 (a beaaast - quad core, 4GHz)
16GB RAM
NVIDIA/EVGA GTX 970

How long did you batteries last? My laptop is old so I doubt there's any more for my model.

Can you do that for any desktop or laptop?

I love your specs! How much did it cost you altogether?

How is the Alienware? I heard that it was bought by Dell a while ago and Alienwares aren't what they used to be.

I'm somewhat the same way. I'm not sure if I want to get a desktop or a laptop next. I think I should get a desktop tower and buy upgradeable parts. I want to play games like Garry's Mod, Counter Strike and a few games from Steam.

Lucky, lucky you!

Cheap ass HP Envy Win7 Laptop from 2010.

How much did it cost and do you like it?

It was about $300 at holiday discount, it's lasting but showing its extent of use. It isn't a gaming powerhouse but it has a good drive (Western Digital).

MacBook and a MacBook Pro. I wouldn't actually buy a higher end laptop usually, but I basically got it dead and brought it back to life.

My Gaming Rig

Intel Core i7-4820k @ 3.7 ghz
16 GB ADATA 1833 mhz DDR3 High Performance RAM
MSI Radeon R9 290 4gb Gaming Edition
Samsung EVO series 120 GB SSD
Hitachi 3 TB 7200 RPM HDD
Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler
Cooler Master i700 700 Watt PSU

My Daily Driver

Macbook Pro Retina Mid-2014
Intel Core i7 2.2 GHZ (Turbo to 3.4)
16 GB DDR3-1600 RAM
Intel Iris Pro Graphics 1.5 GB
256 GB PCIe Flash Storage

My laptop is a Lenovo y50-70 that I got refurbished and have been contemplating on partitioning the main hard drive so that I could dual-boot between Windows 8.1 and 10 when that comes out (since I'm not entirely sure yet how compatible programs like Unity and Maya are going to be with 10). Before anyone asks, I did wipe out all traces of Superfish pretty much as soon as I booted it for the first time.

My desktop is an HPE 510y that I got about four or five years ago that gets unusually loud whenever one of us is playing ESO or Warframe (fuck even defragging the hard drive caused the fan to ramp up) and I've had to do a full system repair/restore twice in the past year. The last part was probably my fault from when I was still sort of a dumbass with computers when I first bought it and deleted shit I probably shouldn't have *yawn*.
