Unpopular opinion, and feel free to give me rainbows, but he could have changed at any time, and he may still have that opportunity.
Yes, he has done some incredibly horrifying things, and yes, his weird belief system shields him from any ability to meaningfully understand and process what his life has actually turned into, but he still could, at the very least, take the first steps towards acknowledgement of his guilt and understanding of what drives him towards anti-social behavior. He is not mentally stunted to the point where he doesn't recognize social mores, and he is not inherently a sociopath or a psycho - he is just living out the consequences of a combination of extreme social isolation and having the Internet and children's pop culture as the only references for human behavior.
He could build himself a saner mental structure - it's extremely unlikely he would, since the worse he makes life for himself, the more attractive delusional thinking becomes, but if people can climb out of heroin addictions, they can deal with CWCville too. He could leave prison with a criminal record, get a tard-level job, stay off the internet and spend an unremarkable life trying to repent for his actions. He is not really as insane as he tries to portray himself as to get internet attention, and no one is too stupid to sweep shit off floors and clean vomit off bathrooms to make some sort of living. He just is happier doing what he does. He genuinely thinks that this is his best life, the best that he can hope to achieve. If that belief crumbles, we will never hear of him again. If he could hate the Internet more than he hates his reality, he could deal with reality.
