The fourth Five Nights at Freddy's game ended famously revealing a locked box with the implication that something was inside that you could unlock.
In the game however you couldn't. But even after all these years the aurora of what was inside the box has left fans of the game wondering what could be inside and what significance does it have to the overall storyline and lore to the Five Nights At Freddy's franchise.
So what was inside the box?

The ultimate secret: that there is no actual coherent narrative behind any of these games and Scott Cawthon just likes yanking people's chains and sending them on a wild goose chase
Can't blame the guy, its made him filthy rich with all these retarded game theory videos everyone does on the series driving massive traction to the games

From a business perspective, fnaf has been one of the most ingenious franchise from the way it's been constructed. To the way the public has reacted to it. And this by design has been completely unintentional.

He literally admitted he changed what was in it based off what the community was arguing about.

So yeah it's probably just Scott's iou to the Repubican party.
