What was the worst controller? - Toss up between the Steam controller and N64 IMO

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Anything MadCatz, dear God those were awful
They all felt horrible in your hands, and would break constantly. I distinctly remember going through several for the PS2 and Gamecube. One of the Gamecube ones even had the coating on the side begin to leak some sort of fluid, so I guess it was chemically separating or something.

Speaking of which, have any of you tried to play a Switch game with one Joy-Con?

It's horrible. The right one is at least a little more comfortable if you're used to stretching your thumb for a PlayStation controller, but it still feels very out-of-balance.

I guess it's strictly for kids who just wanna play Mario Kart together and mom doesn't wanna drop another $80 on another set of Joy-Cons, but it'd give me hand cramps to try and play anything seriously for longer than like 15 minutes.
I think it's absolutely meant for the example you mentioned, as well as motion control party games and stuff like that. I like that it's an option, but I'd personally never attempt it. The left one would be virtually impossible to use like that.
