My worst injury was in middle school where I slipped on some ice and landed on my ankle in a way that it created a circular break.

Kid still shoots. Didn't for like a year though.
He's ocd about safety procedures. I am happy to report he has learned from his mistake.

bilateral patella tendon rupture. yes, that means both at once. don't try it kids. it's not a fun recovery although if you're into training and shit you can nerd out on it like I did and have a successful recovery to sports and activity again in about a year.
the worst part was not being able to shower or bathe for about 6 weeks because 1) you can't fucking stand without braces and 2) risk of infection in a bath. You get sick of sponge baths. best part is probably the frankenstein walk you have to do until you can take your braces off around the same period. I got a lot of "wtf did you do to yourself" when I had those on.

Dislocated my knee lifting a garage door when I was 13. Like the top half of my leg went there> and the bottom half went over there <. I was home alone and dragged myself back to the utility room and somehow got the door open and back inside, called my mom, shouted something incoherent and kind of blacked out. It took forever to heal and that knee still makes weird noises now.
That pain was nothing compared to what it felt like trying to open my eyes and lift my head when I had meningitis though, tbh.
