We all start with something, right? This thread may be of no value, but for curiousity's sake it would be interesting to know what were the first FPS games you got your hands on and what impression did they leave on you. That, if you played any of course.

Mine were PlayStation versions of Final Doom and PowerSlave (also known as Exhumed). Enjoyed both as a kid and still have a positive opinion on them. Final Doom's sound design and soundtrack still creeps me out sometimes (same can be said about PS1 version of original Doom), though not as much as in my little kid times.

EDIT: Forgot to mention PS1 port of Duke Nukem 3D titled "Total Meltdown" and PS1 port of Quake 2, also MOH and MOH: Underground. Yeah, most of my early gaming years were spent on consoles.

Its is a toss up between Doom, Halo and Carnivore: Dinosaur Hunter .I am leaning towards halo or Carnivore because i played doom at a friends house.

Modern Warfare 2. It was the "hottest game out" according to the GameStop clerk at that time.

It's a weird one. It was Peter Jackson's King Kong for the PS2 (I'm quite a bit younger than most people here). It's odd thinking about it in hindsight because it's not a typical FPS game, at least not in terms of controls or presentation. That and there were the third-person Kong sections.

Mix between Doom 64, Quake 2 on the N64, Golden eye, both turoks, and lastly n64 Daikatana.
Not sure which one I plyed first but those are the earlest one I remember playing.

Chex Quest. So doom basically but very, very goofy. It was fun!

This. It was free on a cereal box, how can you not like it!

Also, the Christian re-skin of that game: Super Noah's Ark 3D

(I don't know if either of these were re-skins of anything other than basic Wolfenstein 3D, but that's my head canon.)
