What will it take for Fox to finally cancel The Simpsons?

Most television shows have about a 5-7 year lifespan before they've said all they needed to say. There are exceptions of course, but in general, studios should really cut shows off before they become stale and create new shows based on what the old show was evolving into, so you don't have a skin-upon-skinwalker situation like you have with The Simpsons.

But of course, there's AI.

I think what it'll take is for them to present an uncensored version of The Aristocrats. A full 30-minute "The Aristocrats" joke.

THEN maybe someone at Fox will pull the plug on this zombified husk of a show...

Once the prophesy is fulfilled
"Marge becomes a robot,
Maybe Moe gets a cell phone, has Bart ever owned a bear? Or, how 'bout a crazy wedding?"
Moe obviously owns a cellphone like everyone else nowadays, there's been plenty of crazy weddings, in a tree house arty made robots of marge but the prophesy is specifically "becomes a robot" not just there being marge bots but there is a fantasy sequence about her becoming a terminator but I don't know if that counts either. If julie kavner gets replaced with AI that will totally count towards the prophesy. Bart just hasnt owned a bear, he's interacted with plenty but never has a plain pet bear.

I don't know how the ratings aren't just rock bottom. Everyone I've ever talked to hates new Simpsons and very few people admit to watching it.

I guess it has to lose what few curious onlookers it has left. I'm sure cable cutting is only accelerating the process.
