What would be your reaction be to seeing something paranormal or supernatural?

Not something that is easily misinterpreted as something mundane, like seeing a ufo from far away and assuming it's venus or something. I mean like a real in your face experience like seeing a transparent ghost appear out of thin air, talk to you, walk through a wall, and then vanish. Or being abducted by aliens and being fully conscious the entire time.

Obviously depends on the situation. I'd react a lot differently to getting abducted by aliens than seeing a ghost since, even though I don't believe aliens are visiting us or believe in ghosts, the idea that they are is more plausible to me than ghosts existing.

Aliens aren't supernatural but I think I would react like this:

As for ghosts... I would try to get as much info out of it as I can.
The newly discovered fact that this life is just a transitional stage in my conscious existence would completely change the way I live.
It's like that movie (or TV show, I don't remember) where scientists proved 100% that there is an afterlife and then, millions of people started killing themselves to get there quickly.
I don't know if I would necessarily kill myself because that might have a negative effect on my ghost life so I would investigate.

I'd pray. I'd swear I saw a young woman who was possessed one evening, not far from here. My hair stood up on end and I couldn't even look straight at her, it was like the air around her was festering. Scared me pretty badly, I still get a chill when I think about it.

I'm ordinarily pretty level-headed and not prone to flights of fancy, so I don't know what to make of it.

First run, then turn around and realize I could become a millionaire by selling this as an attraction.

People are fucking stupid and if I have the real thing stupid people pay thousands for the obviously fake thing, then I am set for life.

I'd promptly leave the room for fear of a gas leak. There's no difference between a 'fake' paranormal experience and a 'real' one. I can as wholeheartedly believe that I saw a ghost appear, talk, and walk through a wall I can that I saw a tiny UFO light off in the distance. There's no criteria that distinguishes a mundane event being misconstrued as a paranormal event and an actual paranormal event.

I can watch a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat, and I know that I saw it with my own eyes that the rabbit came out of there from nothing. But then I already know that it's a sleight of hand trick. The magician is doing 'fake' magic. What would I do if I saw a 'real' wizard pull a rabbit out of a hat with 'real' magic? I'd still say he's the former, and perhaps a better actor.

if you're alone your first reaction will always be scared, you will grip your fears and try to rapidly rationalize it, even fight back and finally just wish its over.
The next time it will be easier, by the fourth you will not even react, i mean your body will accelerate but your concious reaction will be of annoyance.

I often wonder if I saw a ghost whether I'd be terrified or run right towards it, just to see what would happen or try communicating with it, I also wonder whether it would make me happier, knowing there really is something more out there or if it'd drive me insane.

I think I'd stay calm and try to communicate, if I felt it was something evil and hostile, I'd just start praying.

With aliens I'd demand they communicate with me and tell me what's going on, I would refuse to co-operate otherwise, they'd have to force me to do whatever they wanted with me.

I wouldn't be hostile or afraid, just demand they tell me what's going on.
