That's just it, clown world. Focus on improving the immediate land that's around you and have faith that it will start a chain reaction that improves society as a whole.
Or just do it because self-improvement is always better than wallowing in decay and forget gay utopian crack fantasies about society ever getting better

Full undoing of the industrial mode of living, which thankfully will be coming within the next 50 years or so when a solar micro nova event causes geological and climatic changes to our planet which will kill most of the population.

I have a dream. That one day, every person in this nation will control their OWN destiny. A land of the TRULY free, dammit. A nation of ACTION, not words. Ruled by STRENGTH, not committee. Where the law changes to suit the individual, not the other way around. Where power and justice are back where they belong: in the hands of the people! Where every man is free to think -- to act -- for himself! Fuck all these limp-dick lawyers and chicken-shit bureaucrats. Fuck this 24/7 Internet spew of trivia and celebrity bullshit. Fuck "American pride". Fuck the media! Fuck all of it! America is diseased. Rotten to the core. There's no saving it -- we need to pull it out by the roots. Wipe the slate clean and burn it down! From the ashes, a new America will be born. Evolved, but untamed! The weak will be purged, and the strongest will thrive -- free to live as they see fit, they will make America GREAT AGAIN!

So, your answer is platitudes?

You can't restore it. Almost every business is or later becomes part of the same interwoven monstrosity that the entire private sector worldwide has become. The way it will eventually end will begin with stagnation. Businesses will have staff that has no idea how to make what they're supposed to provide and who are incapable of learning it, they will cease to produce at the same quality and quantity and it will translate to losses at first.
Then their parent companies will look to loans and stimulus measures to roll over the impact, As a result, for a brief time, the products and services produced will magnify in price but the companies themselves will keep making money, until just borrowing money from others and taking free money from the government can't fix it anymore, because you too frequently need even more to get through the same timeframe without folding. What follows that are layoffs to general staff but by that point, whoever makes up their current staff will be too oblivious and too daft to understand what is going on or why it is happening.
The only people left in those companies will be their boards, and even the board members will barely be able to sustain a modern lifestyle as products we take for granted today will be so rare and so expensive, you can't even afford them on a managerial salary.

So for the not-so-distant future, imagine the vast majority of people living in huts and keeping animals and small farms and at most, if they're feeling extra fancy, buying a clay vase or something. Living like in the neolithic except the newspapers will insist that humanity is ever marching forward and that their standard of living is better than it had ever been. The imaginary numbers on the last remaining computers of Wall Street will be larger than ever before, on extremely abstract numerical metrics, everyone will be more wealthy. But those metrics will be divorced from reality and saying as much will be a thing that everyone is afraid of doing as it would mean acknowledging that the basic philosophy that shaped their zeitgeist as well as ours today, is false.
