What would you do if you could use savestates IRL?

There's so much you could get away with because you can just go back to your last savestate and it would seem like nothing happened.
 
That would be a horrible and profane power to have.

A person would probably get more and more used to the transgressive ability to retry anything to the point they eventually start doing exactly what some people do with savestates in games: get obsessed with doing everything perfectly to the point it robs them of enjoyment. They wouldn't ever be able to take a single action without agonizing over it.

In time life would become nothing but a lonely, hollow game of attempted optimization until eventually the person had enough and just offed themselves...but they've got savestates, so they just reload the last time they saved before capping themselves. Even once they're old there wouldn't be any escape, all they could do is reload an older save from back before they were elderly. They'd be trapped in the experience of infinity, without ever moving past the finite period of their lifespan.

I'm putting that one in the monkey's paw category.
