What's something good that happened to you recently?

Well, got time off between xmas and new year's for once, so Ill spend it with my family (cus I got a Switch Lite). Though it's because we've gone through tough times, but at least it's a nice development.

I see more personality in the posts on Kiwifarms than I do any social media. The tone of formality as well. I see a lot of people on here go "haha we're all losers omegalul virgins!", yet it's one of the most polite places I've been. Square up, bitch.

I mean, I've been here a while and I also think most people here are very intelligent and polite. That doesn't really affect my apprehension but alright.
 
Offer on a big house out in a small town got accepted and we're at the inspection stage right now, so things are looking good with that.

For the last six or seven years we've been renting a shitty little house in a ghetto ass neighborhood where you get to play the "Gunshots or fireworks?" game all the time. I'll happily take slower internet and well water in exchange for a huge kitchen and the type of crime rate where people are still talking about a murder that happened in the fifties like it's a big scandal.

Just had to pay an entire months rent since I was just notified that I've been behind for awhile. This year was the first time I've been seriously saving money so I was able to pay no issue.

Its pretty shitty but it was also nice to be able to solve a sudden unexpected cost with no worry.

I got a new gf recently. And she likes drugs and alcohol just as much as I do. Its been going great.

The world is falling apart and things are getting crazier and crazier, you'd think this would drive away virtually anyone's optimism and hope for the future.

But nah, I actually feel better right now than I ever have, simply because I have an amazing friend now who'll always be there for me, and me for them, and that alone can make all the difference in any scenario.
I love camaraderie; fuck this "We're all in this together" bullshit. More like we can tackle anything if we all work together and support one another.

And that's what an amazing friend will always do for you. I'll always cherish this friend of mine.
