Some people act out in really stupid ways as teenagers, only to grow out of it during their college years. I would have been a lolcow (subtype: Artcow) at 16, was deffo one at 18, and still remarkably cow-ish at 20 (so cow-ish I got kicked out of art school for being a chronic fuckup). But by age 22, I'd recognized the need to grow up and stop the dramatics if I was ever going to keep a job and maintain decent social relationships, and cleaned up my act.

So maybe I was just immature as hell and not a trucow at all, because I was ultimately able to recognize (on my own) that my behavior was childish and self-defeating, admit that it wasn't how successful adult humans conducted themselves, change my behavior to get better results, and learn from my mistakes so I didn't have to keep repeating them.

All of which means I'm willing to cut very young cows a lot of slack because I was that stupid, too; they might still grow out of in a couple of years as they transition into adulthood. But if they're still sperging out at around age 20-21, and haven't figured out that grownups don't act that way, then they're pretty much locked in on being a cow, and are thus fair game (see: 21-year-old Skylar Ittner).
