What's the most autistic game addiction you ever had? - Peope who think all games are autistic need not apply

When the first Yo-Kai Watch game came out in the US and they were trying to push all the toys and shit. I actually got really autistic about collecting all the real life coins and shit like they were Pokemon cards. Got the first whole set for the first game even went out of my way to buy Yo-Kai Watch Monopoly and everything that had like a rare coin bundled in it. I think what broke my autistic love was how long it took to get the sequels here, meaning by the time the other games and new coins were released here I just didn’t even care anymore. Never even finished the second and third game and gave all the coins and toys to my nieces and nephews.

Still can’t explain why I was so invested in it though, I mean I really enjoyed the first game but I enjoy a lot of games and never get like that. Fuck I never even did that with Pokemon back in the day lol.

I'm not proud of it but I have a sacred stone save file that has 2000 hours and 6,000 tons because I needed to get every single character to max out level.
keep in mind every single stat is maxed out as well
there was this zombie MMO called Dead Frontier and I had to beat every single boss on it that they said you can beat with melee weapons with melee weapons just to prove a point

Diablo 3. During my college years i would play that shit until the crack of dawn. I would even scribble on my notebook about builds and how to go about [insert Season]. It got to a point where i would dream that i was playing the game. Also didnt help the the dlc released(Reaper of Souls) and during release, i missed an entire week of classes. The game was my first of its kind and the gaming loop got me hooked. Surpringly diablo 4 didnt light the spark that 3 had, even if 4 is considered better than 3 by some.

Hyper Dimension Neptunia franchise. It started as me buying Re:birth 1 on sale because i remembered that the game characters were a parody of consoles. The game is straight shovelware but something about the meta commentary on gaming and the basic as fuck gameplay somehow got me hooked. After 100% the game after months, i decided to buy the whole collection that was being sold on Humble bundle and i would spend my free days and even part of my vacations just playing the game. Nowadays ive completed and 100% almost all the entries except Neptunia Rpg, virtua stars and the senran kagura crossover games.

Almost 4k hours in Final Fantasy 14, I started in late Heavensward and really enjoyed my time with it. But gradually the game and community became more hugboxy and any negative criticism was met with rampant gaslighting.
I've seen alot of Free Company dramas over the years (over women, who would've guessed) but that's small potatos compared to how quickly the community devolved into chronic gooners over time, so that's the community becoming insufferable, how about the game itself?
The game never tried to innovate itself, every expansion launch will have 3 boss fights, 5 story dungeon, a post launch first raid tier etc. All the while, you lost buttons as each expansion released and had to essentially relevel to get them back.
It was incredibly predictable, and while I enjoyed the story, it completely fell apart once Endwalker came out: unsympathetic characters, convenient plot devices and non-sensical fanservice for the brain rotted community, and you couldn't criticize any of it, else you be met with excuses from both developers and players.

It was fun while it lasted but in hindsight it really was a good idea to let it go, especially with how awful it is now.
