What's the proper way to download and archive twitch streams?

I want to archive old twitch streams from a now inactive cow, but I have never archived anything before. There are five streams ranging from 15 mins to 1:40. What tool should I use to download them? Once I have them in my computer, do I just upload them to a post? Is there anything else I should know about archiving video?

Your best bet would probably be yt-dlp. Yes, upload them directly to the site in the subject's thread. If they don't have a thread, you'll have to make one in Prospering Grounds. Depending on the size of the file, you may have to re-encode it, please read Archival Tools for how to do that.

There are gui programs on github if you fear the command line. I don't have a recommendation because I have no experience with them.

Twitch Leecher is pretty good, it has multiple ways you can grab a channel, stream, etc.

yt-dlp if the VoD is still available on their page but if it doesn't I usually use VodRecovery and Sullygnome. They don't always work all the time though since I think the VoD can't be more than 60 days old.
