What's the rarest game you own?

He has the rare David variant of LttP, they aren't too common. Seems only kids named Dave ended up buying it back in the day, their kid brothers must have been soooooo jealous.
Also the "Tyler H." variant of Smash Bros! :cunningpepe:

@Piss Thanks! I'm pretty proud of it. :feels: Funny story about Zombies, my brother and I had asked mom for a new game, and she picked it up on a whim. So many memories of laughter at the ridiculous things like the giant baby and the panic of trying to kill chainsaw men!

Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt for N64

Not because it costs a lot due to its rarity, but because no one seems to have ever played it when I ask about it.
I feel like I remember watching a streamer play this one on a "roll the dice" stream. Is it the one with different game boards and scenarios? Like there's a board where they're all Reptars?

My youngest brother got that as a birthday gift when it came out. It actually surprised me as being a somewhat decent Mario Party clone. Agreed that no one seems to remember it. I can think of quite a few n64 games we owned or rented that nobody seems to remember.

A boxed copy of Star Wars: Empire at War 1.0 or the Completely OVERKILL or Lootbag DLC for PAYDAY 2 PC, if that counts. Yes, I'm a faggot, no I don't want to suck your dick. It's dirty. Go wash it.

Not the most rare things ever but it's what I've got!

Probably Contra Force on NES, which doesn't have anything to do with Contra and runs like absolute garbage but I loved it as a kid for some reason. Apparently it's worth around 75 bucks.

That's awesome of your mom to get that. I discovered it when I first discovered SNES emulation and just started grabbing up any roms I could find, it turned out to be one of my favorites that I never actually ended up buying a cart of.

The only installment of Dragon Quest that I don't own in some version of it's original platform format is Dragon Quest 4. I own the DS version of 4 but not the NES version.

I remember that game, I actually rented a N64 from Blockbuster once for that and Pokemon Snap, such a big Rugrats fan was I.

I've got two of these things, Sega rental sets:

Really it's just a version 1 Sega Genesis in a rental case.

They were rentals at a local grocery store, you'd rent the whole Sega and a few games and the console would come in this nice sturdy plastic padded case with a 3-button controller and a janky RF cable. Found mine at a resale shop, the owner said he saved them from a dumpster and wanted $4 each for them.

Mine look just like that, except with the store's name and phone number written on the side with white paint marker. Maybe not the rarest or most valuable thing, but lots of people don't remember being able to rent a console.

When I rented a N64 it came in a case like that.

And yeah, it's weird to think of a time when you could rent consoles.

I'll have to ask her what guided her to that one, I do remember at the time we had been begging for Mortal Kombat. We were 8 and 7, the ESRB had just been formed and was making the news everywhere. Thing was, we had all ready rented the game and played it on arcade machines before this, so simply cutting us off wouldn't work- a distraction would definitely make sense!

After failing to score the Zelda Collection for Gamecube off eBay for $100-120 bucks I walked into a local pawnbroker and found it for $25.
The Gamecube Zelda collection shouldn't be more than 40.

Even if it's missing a case you can print an exact replica of either cover of either the Zelda Anthology or the Gamecube OoT Collection.

Speaking of which, I've noticed plenty of Gamecube-exclusive games creeping up in value. It's funny to me, since nobody seemed to give a fuck about the Gamecube when it was current, but everyone who had one as a child is grown up now, and that's the console they all have fond memories with.

It's definitely got the sturdiest controllers its generation, that's for damn sure. Make new Wavebirds, Nintendo, you cucks.

edit: And since I've mentioned it, according to this, my most valuable Gamecube game is... the preorder disc for Pokemon Colosseum. It's apparently worth $60 and all it does is give you a Jirachi on Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire.
