What’s the worst meme of the decade?

As far as 4chan memes go, I've always hated Pepe and Wojak edits because of how lazy they usually are. Now with the -oomer memes the laziness has been taken to new heights. It amazes me that they've both stuck around for as long as they have.

I will admit, however, it was kind of funny when Pepe was declared an alt-right symbol a year or so after it had already gone completely mainstream.

Probably anything that originated from Vines, though I guess it’s comforting to know all those memes died with the platform itself (for the most part, at least).

15. Burger King Foot Lettuce. It's so overused, so overdone, and it wasn't even funny when I first heard it. The delivery got old super fast.

FTFY.

Sorry not sorry

Attack helicopter/“I sexually identify as” meme but for different reasons. I don’t care if it’s transphobic, I just fucking hate how some people actually think it’s still funny (even though it wasn’t all that funny to begin with). It’s in the same tier as rage comics.

Twitch-speak, shit like "oof" and "yikes" isn't funny at all no matter how many spergs repeat it.
Fuck I forgot about this, I would call it more twitter speak. Oof, yikes, sweetie, just a singular “ok”, it’s all just mind numbing annoyance. Not to mention it’s almost always used when they have literally nothing else of value to say or have become unable to argue for themselves. Despise this shit for sure

That and the Harlem Shake. Basically any dance memes that everyone and their grandma were doing for Youtube views back in the day were pretty terrible.
Together with Gamergate and the rise of SJWs, this laid the foundation for the gosh awfull 2010s as a cultural decade, including politicalization of like everything and the mainstreaming and commercialization of internet and "nerd" culture.

Why not take the meme full circle meta? The 12 year old moomer.

Also, not a meme per se but people who lap up everything from corporate twitter and instagram accounts. Granted some of them occasionally will put out good stuff but theres people who fucking worship Arby's and Wendy's on twitter. Fortunately the meme gods blessed us with

I don't even know half of the memes listed itt. And the ones I do know I enjoy using ironically, hell I forget that people offsite actually use them legitimately.

Memes in general are just shit and never should have gone beyond specific threads of imageboards or left personal friend groups.
