What's with the exaggeration of fear or sadness when it comes to Video Games?

I regularly see videos on some shit like "Why Minecraft is actually scary" with some shitty thumbnail saying like "You're not alone" or "Something's watching". When I go into the comments, I see people saying dumb shit like "Dude whenever I play X game, I always feel like something's out there. Like there is something watching me". I wonder if these people have actually convinced themselves that there is something spooky or mysterious about whatever game they play. Bonus points if it's a game that would be considered "innocent" like Minecraft. I also see a special focus on Gmod and, weridly, gm_construct. Don't get why that's supposed to be scary other than ambience.

Same goes for the "Exploring abandoned Video Games" crowd. There's nothing interesting about games that have long been abandoned or died. Just because a game is empty or "People used to be here" doesn't make it spooky or special. I can maybe excuse this because, if you have memories associated with a game, it would be a bit melancholic to see a something you've played and had a good time with be gone due to time but I'd wager most people watching these videos have never played most of them. Something like Toontown or another MMORPG.

Some people are cowards. I hate everything about Minecraft so I don't play it, but I did try it, and it was a little scary that shit would try to get you at night, even if it was retarded low res not-lego blocks. Same for Ocarina of Time, it's not a horror game but some areas spooked me.

It's a miracle I've finished any actual horror games.
