So for Halloween it's the Black Marauder, from a series of Battletech novellas about a Marauder-3R some guy finds just kind of parked on an asteroid somewhere and takes as salvage. Turns out it's basically some kind of supernatural elder-thing that is completely capable of functioning on its own, without a pilot (in-universe, people who see this explain it away as the Marauder having been fitted with some sort of remote control ability - they can't explain how it seems to do things like turn its "head" and flash toothy grins, however, and anyone who reports this behavior is dismissed as having clearly gone mad.)

It's like a guilty pleasure. I know it's not that good, but it's something I feel has trapped potential in it that could possibly be brought out in the next season. And other reasons.
