What's your avatar? thread

PIckles from Metalocalypse, saying one of my favourite lines from the show. I thought it was appropriate seeing as you know, pickles.

Mine is perfect timing for the new house tour video.

Serial killer Bobby Joe Long speeding away with a victim in a reenactment from Lifetime Movie Network, made the GIF myself with 3 screencaps.

Billy Herrington has went back to the Japanese forest. Now Michael Wilson, from the most American video-game that came from Japan, is my avatar.

The madly tonguing manpig has returned in his true demonic form, the eldritch "negative manpig".

My avatar is still :stupid: from the time Chris tried to become a PVCC member by fooling them that he was Jinkies Jenkins.

Or maybe your trying to troll us and you're chris pretending to be Grandnumberofpounds pretending to be chris pretending to be Jinkies Jenkins :?

My new one is a scene from the movie based on the comic Uzumaki. It's not as creepy as my previous ones but it's in glorious TECHNOCOLOR.

With that GLORIOUS technicolor, one can assume the scene to be at least disturbing and at most scary right?

I haven't even seen it, but I've read the manga it's based on and that particular scene is completely fucked. And this is someone who thought Imprint was actually kind of beautiful.

Uzumaki is about an evil spiral that takes over a town. It sounds like the stupidest premise ever but it's the best horror comic in the history of the medium. Here's what the scene I think it corresponds to looks like in the comic. It's not super clear from this image, but the characters just opened up a barrel.

My old avatar was from a scene where the main characters, in an effort to escape cannibalistic snail-people, are trying to get into this one long spiral building that everyone else in town rebuilt literally every building into. This is what was inside:

Ah yeah, I remember seeing that avatar, the one with the bunch of people (Those would be the cannibal snail-people you speak of right?). Looking at what Google Images shows, I'm sure this could be more disturbing than some of the images of Berserk that I have seen.

Nope, those are what the townspeople inside the giant spiral building have turned into under the influence of the spiral. They kept telling the protagonists that they couldn't come inside, and this was why. The cannibal snail people are still at large.

It's a slow burn, it starts off with just weird poetic justice stories with a spiral motif, but the endgame is the most disturbing apocalypse of body horror I've ever seen, and I'm a big horror nerd. Junji Ito, the guy who wrote it, is a master. He's mostly known for Tomie but he's done way better stuff like Uzumaki, and The Enigma of Amigara Fault (which is shorter and less shocking than Uzumaki, but will haunt you long after you finish it). I highly recommend his stuff (I did name myself after it).

Edit: Cannibal Snail-People:

That actually looks like a very interesting read. I love Japanese horror, I just do not follow it as closely as I should I guess.

As for my avatar, it's Jeff Goldblum; it matches my username. I chose this particular picture because it looks like this one:

All that is missing the fedora worn by Cole Smithey.
