Griffith from Berserk (1997 anime version). Due to recent events in the latest chapter of the manga I’ve decided to re-read it all from the very beginning and have actually forgotten the pain of watching the Band of the Hawk die in a pretty horrific fashion thanks to Griffith being an asshole. The fact this happened shortly after same band rescued him makes it that much more heart wrenching for me.

His 1997 anime design somehow made him less punchable though.

This was made for an annual Sci-Fi con in Japan which probably had a lot of US-related movies and shows people were into. Probably had the UK stuff too if they were already into the Gerry Anderson shows at the time.
