I've never got around to watching that. People wax lyrical about how it's THE Fulci masterpiece but it doesn't look very 'stand-out' judging by the screenshots. Does it have the same amount of atmosphere as "The Beyond" or "City of the Living Dead"? If so, I might give it a chance. I love Fulci's gialli though, particularly "A Lizard in a Woman's Skin" and "Seven Notes in Black".

It's atmosphere is only slightly less dark than The Beyond (which I agree is awesome, though I have yet to sit down and watch City of the Living Dead), and it does start off rather slow before the characters actually get to zombieland, but the effects on the zombies are probably among the best I have seen, it has some pretty good horror moments and the zombies are far more threatening and creepy than Romero zombies, some fucking awesome moments (zombie vs a real fucking shark), and is overall a must see for a fulci fan.

According to the Touhou wiki, it might be related to her ability to store up curses, since the kanji for misfortune (厄) looks a bit like a swirl.
