What’s your least favourite language

Out of all the languages I speak the least favorite is English. It's a crude, unexpressive language created by merchants and politicians to allow them to better lie to plebs. It lacks anything resembling nuance, requiring complex linguistical structures to convey simple thoughts.

Most favorite is Russian, then Spanish.

Also learning the pronunciation with all its exceptions is hell on Earth, especially when one's first language is completely phonetic and the teacher loses their shit every time someone happens to butcher English somehow.

Hindi is a trash tier language.

Looks awful on paper, sounds awful when spoken, follows none of the sensible logic of other Asiatic languages I've tried to learn. Unfortunately my job puts me in contact with a lot of patients who have come to the US, lived here for decades, and yet somehow never managed to learn even rudimentary English. As someone who went to great pains to learn how to speak the fucking damn language of the country I moved to I find this uniquely reprehensible.

Arabic and Hindi are hurting my ears. Absolutely terrible. Other languages spoken with an Arabic/Hindi accent feel like someone's rubbing a cheese graters against my ear drums.

I'm also not a huge fan of spoken French. Hell, I adore the language itself, but the sound of it just isn't as 'sexy' as some make it out to be.

Now you can rate me autistic, but: I love Russian, especially spoken. You could recite a soup-recipe in Russian to me, and my knees would still go weak.

Where did you learn Russian? A tutor, or self taught? I want to learn Russian myself

German can get quite absurd, but it makes up for it due to its rich literature, so I'd have to say dutch. It's almost guttural in its pronunciation and it also has all of the german downsides like extremely long words, its closeness to a (mostly) alright language like english also don't make it any better. Also korean, I just don't like it and I don't know why

I thought Amharic/Tigrinya looked and sounded creepy and demonic way before the meme

Pronouncing a Dutch word with a 'g' (which is like, all of them) with a throat infection will make you cry tears of blood, that much I'll tell you.

Related: I wonder if whoever said Afrikaans was the least sexy sounding language on Earth has never met an Indian. Not an Indian like from Durban, but a proper Indian. Not only Hindi and all the languages from the subcontinent sound awful in and of themselves, but also Shiva, for whatever reason, saw fit to curse all Desi men with the most annoying voice pitches known to human. (I have to admit there's girls whose Hinglish accent I find hot. Absolutely haram opinion I know, and they're few and far between, but they do exist)

Regional dialect round: fuck Quebecois, fuck Swiss German, and above all, fuck Caribbean Spanish. Not only it sounds gross and stilted to me, but also I reckon I sound like more of a native Spanish speaker than any Dominican/Venezuelan barber I've ran into in Barcelona. I, an angloid mongrel, managed to get the R sound right, you have no fucking excuse.

Swedish, when spoken by an 'average' person, genuinely sounds like the mumblings and moanings of a spastic.

I still remember seeing that video of a few drunk Swedish girls ransacking a McDonald's, and you'd honestly be forgiven for thinking they weren't mentally disabled retards on day release.

Thai also sounds like shit.

The funny thing is that their neighbors in Panama and Colombia got spanish right (except the paisas, those are literally incomprehensible even to people who live one hour away from Antioquia)

Yeah that's strange. Don't know what Panamanian accent is like but I've been to Bogota and the people from there I've met speak Spanish with a clearer pronunciation than that of most southern Spaniards (albeit peppered with a shitload of incomprehensible slang words that I can only assume come from drug trade lingo, but still). The only theory I can come up with is that's because their main cities are in the mountains, far withdrawn from the Caribbean coast.
