This Post made me wonder. When did the biggest Websites/Forums/Imageboards like Reddit, 4chan, Something Awful ''choose'' one side in the Trans debate? Which year/time period for example did it become normal to ban anybody who has the slights criticism of trannys on reddit or when did YWNBAW posting become the standard reply to any tranny thread on 4chan (outside of /lgbt/ at least)?

The 2 Thread mentioned:
https://desuarchive.org/a/thread/68070435/#68074793 (4chan discussing the most famous tranny Anime in 2012)

I am no expert, but I first noticed it being a “legitimate” reason to ban or write someone off as a fascist and bigot online in 2015, if they made a joke about trannies, chicks with dicks, etc.

Before that, trannies seemed to be rightly considered the punchline in jokes about men tricked into sleeping with them, like they had been since the 90s.

Tumblr had a period, around 2012-2014, where there was a conflict between "truscum" and "transtrenders", with the latter derided as just chasing clout, while the former were seen as the true-and-honest minority who just wanted to be left alone. That all flipped quite abruptly late in 2014 or early in 2015, likely coinciding with the USSC decision on gay marriage. That said, I'm not sure it's the best example. Tumblr seems to have been the place where most of the troon shit was workshopped (directed or not, the effect is the same) before it was spread to the wider populace, so it's not really going to have a "peak" in the same sense as other places.

A whole bunch of sites I used to visit all started flipping around the same time period as well. Small and niche sites went, almost overnight, from people making tranny jokes to ful-throated support of the troon. It was weird. Possibly I just didn't notice it the gradual build-up. Anyway, the mid 2010s is likely to be when most of the big, popular sites flipped, because it feels like that's when everything flipped.

Yep, ultranerdy SpaceBattles flipped when a army vet mod trooned out.

Nerd-anything and especially SF is absolutely full of troonshit.

Easy out for bad social skills and not fitting in, a pass to be shitty to the masses of people who once abused or ignored you? Not only that, but ETII (erotic target identity inversion) to go with all the 'futa' shit they were spanking it to before the bug got planted? Of course a bunch of desperate autists are going to take the tiddy skittles, or claim to.

A lot of them were G.I.R.L.s in the first place. Many of the e-troons are shrewdly doing that, too.

It really sucks. Creativity has been warped to serve The Message™ or completely destroyed. The amount of masturbatory paracosms that are being spun up where it's "you actually can change sex but you still go 'trans' to be cool and serve my ego but also people can be furries for realsie reals" is ridiculous. As far as discussions go, trans-jacking to make everything about muhtranzitiongoals or future surgeries or "morphological freedom" and hijacking the equally cringy "transhumanism" is rampant. They stick their noses into everything, demand everything be made about them, and demand to have furry ears added in too as the cherry on top.

Even if discussions have nothing to do with bodies or gender or sex or anything remotely biological, they'll say "I'm Vegan" by calling some mechanical thing "transition goals".

To think that WH40K went from a parody of Fascism and darkness to an escape from overwhelming liberalism and, in a sense, a positive fantasy. Hah.

A tranny is the type of person that will rip your arm off once you extend your hand. With that in mind I think it's important to remember no site is immune to tranny mod abuse, in other words don't invite the vampire into your house
IMO open troons should be banned on sight whenever possible and MTF AGPs (i.e. all of them) should be mocked and insulted mercilessly.

They have no value to add to anything on any website and will be nothing but trouble.

On 4chan post containing the word ''tranny'' were pretty equal in numbers between 2013 and 2016, with a slow rise in 2017 and 2018 that then lead to an absolute explosion from 2019 onwards (I think that /a/ can be used in a stand in for 4chan in general since its one of the biggest/most important boards besides /tv/, /v/ and /pol/)

In a way, I somewhat agree with what you're saying..... but I disagree in that sometimes troons are helpful as case studies for what causes trannery, and how to treat it.

It depends if it's someone who is choosing to actively feed into their own degeneracy, or if it's someone who is genuinely trying to figure out why they feel that way... and how to stop it without hurting themselves. Some things are just psychological disorders, after all.
I think reading about mental illness is really interesting. I like knowing how the human mind works, and what its fail-conditions are.

Of course, it's also true that a person could present themselves as some kind of impartial sciency type of person, while ignoring all conflicting evidence or anecdotes.
Meh. I say we give the banhammer to an angry monkey.

Troons have to be kept out of leadership, and away from leadership, lest they corrupt the leadership, at all costs. Same as with BPD types, e-thots, ideologues, and so on. How many of us have seen communities ruined or destroyed because of them?

Troons have to be kept away from impressionable people at all costs. How many hours and hours of reading have we suffered through seeing what they do to kids?

Without ESP, you can't really keep them away, since they can hide it. You can, however, make them hide it. Then the problem becomes one of making sure they don't surreptitiously groom.

So how the fuck do you do that?

There is a question I've been trying to get answer to from our resident trannies and neither of them was able to give me a satisfying answer. The question is: how do you know you are a man\woman if you can't compare your experience to that of a biological man\woman?
@Mr. Cool ICE tried to talk about disliking her body and liking male clothes but I don't believe it's enough to consider oneself "wrong gender".
I think that most of those trannies who aren't just regular fetishists simply came to a point where they feel like they absolutely failed at life so they want to wipe the board clean and start from the beginning as a different person, that's why they react so violently when someone talks about their actual identity.

One of the (formerly) biggest sites for the troon experience before it was mainstream was Gaiaonline. Those people were sipping the HRT way before it was cool. Livejournal was another hotbed.
I would say that livejournal was a hotbed for making fun of trannies in many communities. People were making fun of lolcows before they were called lolcows (they were just called fags or efags), and I even learned about CWC and some of the other people still being posted in Beauty Parlor.

Maybe the older/gen Xers were homos. The younger people were definitely picking it apart. There were many ED editors there from when it was still a dot com site, too.

LJ is also where many of the retro cows were based and got their start. The cannibalization of fellow site users isn't really uncommon or strange and I'd say the weirdos using the service far out-weighed those making fun of them.
