When did Clown World officially start?

Many things previously which were listed in the OP, but I think the main outset for the Clown World we especially see online was 3rd wave feminism kicking in the early-mid 90s. You can look at textbooks from that time, and the stark change that became women can do anything they want, and then blacks can do anything they want, and every minority, and eventually freaks who cut their genitals off. Teach women they're better than men and don't need them... and then throughout the following decade, technology comes along with dating apps and Instagram where every woman now becomes a mini-celebrity. A social media landscape which is an attention whore's paradise, and women get more validation by "doing the right thing" which can be increasingly more insane and go unchecked.

I'd agree on 2015. The finalization of gay marriage was the starting line GO! bell for the trans insanity, as the whole activist infrastructure that had been built up around gay marriage was shifted 2 degrees to "trans rights".

Trump's election the next year was like a shot of adrenaline for Clown World, as it INSTANTLY created an establishment that would lock-step back literally anything, including burning down their own neighborhoods and sterilizing their kids, if it meant being seen to oppose the Orange Man.

its just that in the past it used to be much, much more easy to avoid it.

pre-2008 we had jobs, occupations, most of peoples bullshit got regulated out because you had to work a job and be sociable.

post-2008 theres less jobs, we start to see people who are chronically online and then never get a job more and more, online hugboxes tend to psychologially ruin people, etc.

If we didnt have the financial crash in 2008, I think many things would be better, but I honestly have to wonder how so many of these current online lolcows would be if they were actually forced to get a job at the age of 16

or if the people online pissed off at them had something better to do than being online all the time?

I'm guessing the financial collapse and Obummer getting elected was the start. Everything pre-2009 feels like another world. Entertainment, politics, everything. It peaked during Orange Man's tenure.

Like many other people have said, the start-date of clown world is subjective. For me, I would say it was the day that Trump was elected following everyone saying he was going to get crushed. Realistically, though, that was just the start of my own personal awakening. It started much earlier, as evidenced by the Andy Griffith show being a tool to subvert the nuclear family back in the 60's. Notice the only married person on the show is the town drunk.

GamerGate was somewhat an awakening point on my part. You had non-nerds and religious types complaining about the dangers of the Internet and video games long before then, but you could chalk that up to generational divide and fearmongering by people who were out of their element.

But when a woman gets caught cheating on her boyfriend so she can get clout for her shit video game, you'd expect there to be a swift intervention where she gets fired and discredited for her actions, right? Wrong! She's actually an oh-so-poor woman being harassed by all those mean gamers according to journalists, and these people are all within the same age range to reasonably understand the medium they're involved in. and know that when a large group of people complain about lack of professionalism, it's usually due to a lack of professionalism.

Eventually it hits mainstream news - an institution that's meant to be above the pathetic tabloids - where people have legitimate resources to properly research the topics they're diving into and provide stories to both sides of domestic conflict. What did they end up doing? They Google searched it and called it a day - the whole event was a prime example of how lazy, nepotistic and unprofessional journalists of all kinds were pre-Trump. It showed how media types will aggressively push a front that runs contrary to what is actually being shown so long as it pleases the person whose dick they're sucking, and it was on a topic that was so clear-cut it was baffling to see this attack on common sense taking place at the time. Not to mention all the insane lolcows who came out of hiding to defend this slop.

Now it's just a Tuesday. 4 years of Orange Man Bad, countless articles of registered sex pretenders being paragons of society, the Peaceful Protests of St. Floyd, the Evil Moose Man of January 6th, the list is endless. For me though, it still sticks out as the moment when people - especially from a workplace perspective - openly outed themselves as being unabashedly retarded, and the Politically Correct Purging of entertainment dialed up to 11.

Hard to say when Clown World began, but I think it's undisputed that the effects of it really manifested in the 2010s.
