I only found out about him in late 2011, so a long time after the golden age, which is sad, because I would've loved to join in on the trolling.
 
Same here Snake, I saw his pictures and sonichu years ago, but actually read about him just last year, and I found him fascinating. The epitome of fail.
 
In 2010 when his video cursing the trolls for breaking up him and the Wallflower was the VOD on Encyclopedia Dramatica. When things were winding down, in the tail end of the CWCipedia but well before Tomgirl or the Jackie cosplay vids.
 
During the height of the Blanca Saga.
 
Saw his ED page some time back in 2008. I didn't really pay attention to him after that; in fact, at that time I thought he might have just been an elaborate joke. It was only this past year that I actually started reading the Cwcki and understanding how very wrong I was.
 
It was a few days before Bob died. I missed the 'golden era' of our favorite moron too. :(
 
Found him in like 2008. Forgot about him for a while. Looked him up again during the court stuff. Found the cwcki and then joined the forums to see if he was getting shipped off to prison.
 
I found out about Chris in 2009 when a friend of mine on YT sent me a link to Chris's "Ivy" video where he is dressed in a black suit and he is talking in the high pitched sweetie voice. That video both disgusted and intrigued me. The rest is history
 
I don't exactly remember, but it was only a little while ago. I missed the golden age too.
 
August 2008. A friend of mine says to me over IM "You gotta check out this guy" and linked to his ED page and well, the rest is history.
 
when I found out about cwc, it was back in 2010. I remember I was on xbox live with a friend of mine, who is in the armed forces, and he was stationed somewhere in South Korea at that time. he then tells me to google "chris chan". At first I thought it was some asian dude. one of the links led to ED and there it was. Christian Weston Chandler. the more I read about it, it was either hilarious or creepy.
 
When Linkara was counting down comics he wouldn't review, and he expressed his disgust at Sonichu. It piqued my curiosity, so I looked it up.
 
I think I first discovered him in the spring of 2008 when people were talking about him on the Something Awful forums (in a weird/creepy YouTubers thread). His original "Sonichu" YouTube channel and MySpace page were still up, and I think at that time he only had the Future Message and the PaRappa videos up.

I discovered him last year, november, I think. It was an article on some random page (wasn't ED) that linked to the CWCki. I couldn't stop reading. Didn't understand why. Still don't, actually.

So yeah I guess I joined this party way after the beer was over and most people left, but here we are...
 
I remember reading Chris's letter regarding "Sprung" in Nintendo Power, and thinking that it was pretty creepy.

I also found some mentions of his ED page in late 2008, but didn't pay it too much mind. It wasn't until mid-2009 that I really started paying attention, and I became a full-time Chris watcher during the end of the Liquid Saga.

To this day, the one thing that Chris has done that actually pissed me off--literally made me angry--was Sonichu #10. Everything else has been a slowed-down, gargantuan train wreck with mass casualties captured in HD.
 
In 2009, shortly before the Kacey saga. I heard about him through a podcast called Distorted View, when they played an audio clip of the Rape of Ivy video. Creepiest thing I ever heard, and I had to look up the video. I remember thinking (before I saw the vid) that Chris must be an Asian guy because of the name "Chan."
 
read the ED page shortly after the medallion destruction because there was a thread about it on 4chan but i figured that was the end of cwc and i was late to the party

read more about him when the kimmi video dropped. i wanted to know what had to go wrong in a person's life to turn them into a cwc
