When was the last time you went out barefeet and touched grass?

I went out today barefeet into the lawn and on the street and holy shit I have forgotten how nice it felt to have grass and soil beneath your feet.

I know, is fucking retarded, but that started making me question how many of us have lost that sensation of nature and even how we hate to dirty ourselves with mud or dirt.

I know is a meme to say "Go touch grass" but really, go touch grass with your feet! Is something that really makes you connect with nature and with your humanity.

Don't lose your humanity. Go touch grass.

Going out barefoot in the grass is an excellent way to step in dogshit.

Yes, I go barefoot 80% of the time even on the streets in public because I fucking hate shoes and I'm unbelievably autistic, the soles of my feet are now so tough I can walk over spiky rocks or glass shards with no problem.

That's what nature intended for you but most people prefer to have stinky deformed feet for some reason.

Don't do it much in the winter but just enjoying some time outside in the spring is very nice. Nothing's quite as calming as hearing the wind rustling leaves, the warmth of the sun, and birds chirping.

It was during the summer that I went out barefoot, when I went to the beach. But the last time I touched grass...it was actually pretty recently.

I would do that more often if not for the fucking fire ants that are all over the place here. Little demons.

This morning. I smoke outside on my back porch and didn’t feel like putting socks or slippers on to go out.

Depends on the weather, really. If it's nice out and I'm taking a break from work, I'll usually walk to, around and from my garden without socks or shoes.

This whole post mogs me so hard. I need to step it up.

I try to every time I take the dogs out. Just have to look where I'm stepping is all.

i usually walk around barefoot but stopped doing so outside because the animal control people in my area decided it was a cool idea to just start dumping every stray cat they relocate in the same area. so now walking in the grass barefoot means you risk getting all sorts of lovely parasites all because a cat walked across your yard and either threw up worms or one crawled its way out.

all that aside i gotta say i used to love walking outside barefoot it really does feel nice in a hard to explain way. i hope to be able to do it again some day.

I went out to the garden to get some greens for dinner tonight... I'll spend the next couple of weeks barefoot though, I'm heading up into the mountains to escape the summer heat. I will put my feet in the river many times.
