When you get dressed, do you put your socks on first or pants? - Perhaps the most important conversation in history. Which goes first!?

So, when you get ready for the day and put on your clothes, normally people always start with their lower body first. However, there’s two staples to an outfit that are commonly debated on which goes first. Your socks, or your pants? Which is more convenient!? Which is right!?

I put my pants on first, mainly because if someone does walk in on me or I’m needed mid-change, I’m already in my pants so I’m at the bare minimum in respectable public exposure.

Also, sandals!? What if you’re wearing sandals or slides that day and you don’t need socks! I rest my case.

In my opinion, it's easier to put my feet through my pant legs if I don't put my socks on first.

Depends on the style of pants. If super tight, easier to slide foot in with socks. Or if needing top of socks to be under the pants legs like for a hike where I want to reduce exposed skin. Wearing sweatpants or something, whichever is closest.

If the pants aren't so tight or stiff as to make the socks difficult to put on, they go on first.

I've got a question of my own: do you put your shirt on and then pull your pants up over it or put your pants on and then tuck the shirt into it? Those whose shirts go untucked needn't respond.

Shirt goes on first. It doesn't hang right if I need to stuff it under pants with a tight waist.

Depends, if you're talking about business casual or anything more formal, socks go first. For casual stuff or short socks it really does not matter. Here's why: for nicer clothes most everything will be two layers, with the outer making it more difficult to get the inner right. If you use something like shirt stays you kind of have to have everything else on before pants. It's basically elastic that connects your socks to your shirt tails. Since this also always calls for trousers and at least mid-calf socks it just makes sense to have socks on instead of futzing with the cuff later. Obviously none of this is a concern if we're talking no-show socks and casual shorts.

What sick fucking degenerate doesn't put their socks on last? Fucking animals. What's next, putting your sox on before you shirt? That's where that kind of sick depraved lifestyle leads to. You're on the level of pedos and unironic George Bush apologist. Your funerals should be community celebrations, worthless lower-than-scum.

Good to know i'm sharing this space here with some absolute fucking animals. It's socks first, always.

It's even worse than i already thought...
