Its from the original 1936 version of Shrek 2. I don't think it appeared in the 2004 remake, though. It might have popped up before then but thats the earliest appearance that I know of ottomh.

The original version of Shrek 2, the one directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle as Shrek 2 (archival footage and CGI, the film was finished posthumously) came out in 1936, Google it.
