Where the hell should I live? - Is every city California now?

I thought I would ask this knowledgeable and based forum where the hidden gem cities/towns are. I foolishly moved to a blue city, a sanctuary city at that, and feel awful for the horrors I am subjecting my girlfriend to on a daily basis. She deserves better, a place without homeless people and illegals who crowd the streets and run up to her car to wash her windows on the way to work.

Where are the great places to live? I am growing more turned off by cities as a whole, I don't like bars or clubs, I just want to experience nature and have a quiet place to live. City prices are also absurd, any outing costs 50-60 dollars minimum.

I would prefer a place with:

Low crime
Not a lot of black people
No homeless
No illegal immigrants
Republicans or Non-California types.
A small city vibe, a super small town would be too intimate for me.

I will do my own research, I just wondered if kiwis had the secret knowledge on where the actually good places to live are in America. Every article or statistics website will be biased or a lie, and ignore the things that actually shit up a city.

I was looking at Nashville, as it is "hip" but red. The nature of this forum is digging up dirt, so I was wondering if the same has been done for cities.

Pittsburgh is cheap, there aren't too many homeless due to the shitty weather in winter, but it is still a city. Whatever illegals live there usually keep to themselves, but there are a lot of legal immigrants in the area, so if avoiding brown people in general is your thing, perhaps another place might work better. The neighborhoods are generally self-segregated. The transit system is pretty good, I didn't drive the entire time I lived in the city. You do get the normal crazies on the bus, but again, it is a city, and they mostly keep to themselves. The hospitals are... okay. There are a lot of great museums. If you like grey skies and good Polish/Italian/German food, the Burgh might be right for you. The areas outside the city is pretty conservative, so you can live half an hour away, and still gain the benefits of being near a city.

Yes.
This isn't even a conspiracy theory, but back in the 90s and into the early-2000s there was a conscious, concerted, and intentional effort by real estate developers to move people from California and into other areas. Colorado in particular is a perfect case of this. You can even see it in the fact that some housing developments there are basically copies of existing developments in California all the way down to the home blueprints themselves.

Again, I cannot stress enough how much what I'm saying is not a conspiracy theory. It's literally what happened in real life.

Montana, Colorado, Texas, Vegas. Places I can think of that have become mini Californias. Completely beautiful and natural places that are now overrun with illegals and homeless people. I'm probably going to look into a suburb or random rural place.

Very eye-opening seeing the developments like that.
I don't want to bring you down but I don't know if a place like that exists. TBI announced that Venezuelan gangs are in all the major cities in TN, fyi about Nashville.

God damn, how awful. ICE better come back swinging.

Looking at Idaho and Montana. Montana is kind of gay from the times I drove through. It is already full of homeless and immigrants. Bozeman is just a small shopping center street with rich people. There could be promise in Idaho though.

Look at this map and pick a red urban area in a red state:
May be worth waiting for the 2024 version to come out.

Once you have some areas that you like, check their median income, demographics, and that good jobs in your industry are available. You also want to make sure that the local (city/county) government is red; you don't want to live in a place with a Soros DA.

Then, visit them to see if you like them.

Thank you, this reply is awesome. I actually tried googling "best NON sanctuary cities" just to start my researching. And wouldn't you believe it, it is IMPOSSIBLE to find a result for that. Instead I was shown "Best cities for illegal immigrants." "Most friendly cities for illegal immigrants." and a reddit post discussing "What do you think about Sanctuary Cities?" With mostly neutral or positive replies.

Shameful
