Which is better: Support the local business with a trans flag, or support the billion dollar company?

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I've seen a small bookshop with "Protect trans kids" merchandise, and given thats a sign they actually believe what they preach, and could possibly be using the money to donate to some Mermaids type organization, I'd skip the lgbt option. Go to whatever bookstore doesn't have that shit.

If you don't have another local bookstore available, then just use a different online retailer. Also, as bad as Amazon is, it is just a megacorporporation that will drop the lgbt stuff once it comes out of fashion. (And even then Amazon's lists can be manipulated, Matt Walsh was able to make his antitrans childrens book #1 in the lgbt section for a while.)

I could sperg out with how this wouldn't even be a problem if all other bookstores hadn't closed, even including former big chains like Borders and Barnes and Nobles but its offtopicish. I will say that these suggestions are for if you need to own a printed copy of a book for whatever reason, cause otherwise I would suggest the library or even just a digital version.
