I think Harlem shake is worse than Gangnam Style. At least the latter is actually somewhat funny.

Why would you put 'other' on there? That just leaves open too many options. For example, the Die Another Day theme is worse than both Gangnam Style and Harlem Shake. There's tons of other songs that are worse than those two.
But the Harlem Shake is worse.

Force of habit

I love how the Harlem Shake pretty much jumped the shark after only 2 weeks. Once you see it in a Pepsi commercial and on the Today Show, you know it's done for.

also,Harlem Shake is worse imo.

This is why I voted "Other". Just because Gangnam Style and Harlem Shake have gone viral doesn't mean the Hamster Dance has ceased to exist.

Yeah, that and

I imagine Tumblr must have been in tears when this Kidz Bop was released.

I'm disappointed. I thought it would be a bad English rendition.

SPEAKING OF THINGS THAT ACTUALLY EXIST,

Both of those videos were uploaded by a YouTube user with the username UltimateKidzBop fan. I didn't think there were really fans of this. I just thought it was some kiddy CD that parents would try to push on their kids to pass off as birthday presents. Although I didn't grow up like everyone else in the deep south or the northeast or the west US, so of course I wouldn't know that kids listen to stuff that isn't heavy metal or gangsta rap.

That's got to be a joke
I don't know. It looks like he has every single song uploaded...

Their kids friendly adaption of Moves Like Jagger is pretty bad.

I could forgive them if they put some spirit into it. If they did it could be epically bad instead of just groan worthy bad.

Also, I really hate the Moral Guardians that think this is okay. If my kid likes a song I'll let them listen to it. Not shove them some empty watered down version. I'd only say no if it was gangster rap, but I won't have to because none of that trash would be playing in my house anyway.

Oh trust me, never ever make the assumption that it won't make its way into your home. If you expect your kids to be just like you or follow in your footsteps, they have a higher chance of doing the opposite. A parent has to be prepared for that kind of thing. Kids can easily become dropouts, drug addicts, gangsters, bullies, victims, or fans of music that you don't like, and a good parent is one that expects it and is prepared to prevent it. Example, my dad never exposed us to country music because he hates it. This is one of my favorite songs of all time:

That aside, yeah, I could never grasp the idea that kids would want to listen to their favorite songs by kids. What's the appeal? The songs are still about sex, drugs, and failing relationships, but the blow is softened by the fact that it's sung by kids (which only makes it more depressing if you listen to it as an adult). Frankly, if my son came home listening to the kind of music I listen to, he'd get a stern talking to, not a "kid friendly" version of it.

Gangster rap can burn in hell. That's all I have to say about it.

Actually, I have a lot of things to say about it but I'll save that for any essays I write.

Oh, fun story, my dad was apparently a fan of gangsta rap when it was new. We found an old collection of Tupac and Cypress Hill CDs in the house once. Mom ordered him to give them away.

Wait, they're still in business? I had hoped they shut down a long time ago.
