Which speedrunning community is the most deranged?

The worst are the RPG 'speedruns'. 20+ hour ones in some cases, talk about like watching paint dry unless you're the one playing them.

I'll say it - speedrunning and the people it attracts are a cancer to gaming. In the old days (80s-90s), it used to be about the skill of beating a game without being hit or being hit minimally, rather than using exploits to skip half the game for a better 'time'. It does nothing but attract losers with no lives, like trannies.

Games Done Quick and their successors, spin offs, and competitor
I miss old GDQ threads on /v/ before the trannies completely took over innernet discourse. It was kino. That one bitch knitting a sweater who interrupted that nerd dressed as link. The guy who told the Waluigi redditors to step in front of a bus. The chair sniffer. "I would really prefer if you would be quiet". At least when the tranny takeover first was successful, the trannies hadn't taken over 4chan yet so we could still do tranny watch tallies and shit.

Never again will fun be allowed at GDQ.

I guarantee you no one's having fun in a speedrun.

What made Mario 64 a joy was the things you could make Mario do, the various worlds to play through, the oft-mysterious nature of the game and its oddities, the non-linear levels like being able to go to different rooms in Big Boo's Haunt or the entirety of Hazy Maze Cave, the SLIDES....

...and then throw that all away with rout memorization of button presses because you memorized the exact coding for when enemy NPCs react.

The guy who speedruns that one Spongebob game day in and day out and absolutely hates himself has to be a strong contender. It's one thing if you speedrun a game everyone knows and likes, it's another if you try and be the best speedrunner in the world in some shitty kid's game nobody cares about so that you can say you accomplished SOMETHING in life.

I consider speedrunning in general a waste of time. It is much better to play something else or build something.

I don't have much experience with speedrunning, but I saw people in Doom community speedrunning Doom levels or trying to play pacifist mode (no harming of demons allowed).

While the latter sounds cool to do, both are time wasters because you could use that time to play other WADs and because DOOM is RNG dependent.

Instead of voting something obvious (it's fucking Sonic, we all know it's fucking Sonic) I'm going to go for something a bit more out of left field.

Any sort of turn based jrpg where you cannot skip cutscenes. A "speed run" that lasts 10 hours is absolutely fucking insane no matter how you slice it and must be the most tedious and soul crushing process out there. "Oh no, I had 3 fights in a row with bad RNG at hour 7, guess the run is no good then!"

Any game that is been optimized to oblivion and whose only world records are either broken by fractions of a second or even frames. the Goldeneye community comes to mind, also Zelda OOT probably.
if you want to look, look up not only trannies, that's just low hanging fruit. look for the autists themselves that can sit down for hours on end grinding the same fucking game over and over and sperg about it.

When I was a kid. Early highschool. Every day when I got home I would watch Austin powers. Like every day. Sometimes all three back to back. Later I found out that obsessive repetitive consumption of nostalgic media is a sign of extreme depression. Like “don’t let them near a gun” depression.

All these games. They’re never modern games. There always shit people played as a kid. when you put it into perspective. It makes a lot of sense that speedrunners troon out. Theyre literally clinging to the past and obsessively repeating it. Almost as if they do a good enough job mom and dad will stop fighting.
